I am looking to install window deflectors, but they have to be the type that goes inside the window channel. I don't want anything that goes outside with tape.

1. Do you like them, or regret installing them?
2. What kind/model/manufacturer did you buy?
3. Do they interfere with the window operation at all (closing, in particular, of course)?

Thank you.

My AVS Vent Visors are applied with tape, as well as my hood protector, but I think they are great. I think AVS have the ones your looking for.

Applied with tape outside, on the door frame?

I had Weather Tech in channel on a 2018 F250. I liked the look but feared the long term affects on the rubber with the deflectors stretched into them but the windows worked fine just a little extra noise going up and down. I recently saw a new gen F250 with stick on ones painted to match the red truck and I thought that looked the slickest of them all. I don’t plan to add them to my 150.

I am not sure how will external stick on will hold up over time though.

Have weathertech ones, work great, no issues at all, love em. They mount inside window via wedge it in. No tape highly recommended

2018 or 2021? I read somewhere that the window is much tighter inside the slot in 2021. Asking because your signature says 2018 ?

For what it’s worth, the wife’s 2007 4Runner had stick on, stuck them on there when the truck was new. About two years ago they started falling apart and had become brittle from 13 years of Florida sun. I replaced them with the same. The tape was still holding and it didn’t peel any paint off believe it or not. I’m not advocating for one or the other just giving my testament.

Not a SCREW owner but I have Putco in channel deflectors on my SCAB with zero bump window issues and like them. I used Ford points to pay for them and dealer installation.

Ive had both.

the ones that went inside were junk and kept coming out.

The ones that stuck on the outside with the tape survived everything the yukon to throw at them for 2 years.

Dont get the internal ones. TRUST ME!

I just told you, in my experience they last about 13 years in Florida, one of the most brutal climates on plastic in our continent.

I had the avs external on my 05 f150. Still there 13 years later. I put them on my 21 SCREW, and love them.

To clarify. I stated they lasted two years but that is because i traded the truck in,not because they fell off, they wouldve lasted forever.

I quit smoking so didnt install them on the next truck

I put a set of the "external tape-on" on my grandpa's 01 GMC in 2002. I now own the truck and the RH side just came loose last year. Not bad mileage at all.

They were AVS brand and I plan to put them on my new F150 as well.
