Messed around with my laser. The color is a good match for the other lettering and flag emblem.
Definitely need to modify....any suggestions?
I just put the letters on a clear piece of acrylic and hot glued it for the picture.
Took it off after.

I’ve spoken to two different reps and both have said to call back in “a while” to see if they’ve made the Lightning version yet.

Despite that, I bet you won’t have any trouble getting them on.

If you get a chance to snap some photos as you do yours, it’d be much appreciated. I’m curious about the harness routing especially.
Everything is the same. Even the two wires you have to tap by the obd have the color codes.

There are a couple Lightnings on the forum that have already done the conversion and reported zero issues, just followed the instructions for the ICE installation. It uses the OBD plug for activation, which is in exactly the same place on the Lightning as on other F-150s, and the only other requirement is direct power from the 12-volt battery, which is very easy to access and route wires to, as simple as the ICE versions, so I have zero concerns about it. I ordered an OBD doubler harness from AMP with the running boards so the truck will still have an open OBD port.

There are a couple videos and many pics in other threads showing the installed AMP boards. We’ve had them on five other Ford pickup trucks and find them far superior to fixed running boards, saw their deletion on the Lightning as a real loss. For a brief period, maybe three weeks, they were an orderable option for the Lightning, and I had them in my spec. But then Ford notified dealers that it would cause delay, and they were ultimately dropped. It’s strange, as the fixed boards have to be a significant aerodynamic drag. I’m expecting some range benefit from the conversion. Will post installation pics if I can.

From the part number it appears they just decided the linked steps above work with the lightning and started listing it, as the part number seems to have been in use a while.

I kinda like the rocker cover look and the lights are built in and don’t require mounting from the looks of it. have the xtreme already on order though. Hmmmmmm….

I got my Gamin Dash Cam Mini 2 installed today with the Dongar mirror adapter. You can't even see the camera or adapter when I got everything in place!

For those thinking of installing the adapter, it is easier to plug the adapter into the mirror first, then plug the rest of it together second.

Thanks for sharing this, I was just thinking about putting one in. Have you thought about putting one in the rear? is it the tint too dark for it to work?

I didn't really look into doing a rear camera... I just wanted something quick/easy/clean to hopefully catch people pulling out in front of me and such for now. My long-term dream is that Ford figures out how to let us record the existing 360 cameras directly (or possibly a 3rd party) similar to Sentry mode and then just switch over to that.

Right? I think they should be able to do a "sentry mode" with software. A no brainer.

They mentioned that option when I called about the xtreme - but I don't want the extra bulk and wind resistance so am sticking with the xtreme.
