Last week I updated some modules using FDRS and the Mongoose adapter. I now notice an audible 'pop' from the speakers when I open the doors and the screen does it's little intro sequence theme. Also notice that some of the bluecrise alerts and parking sensor alerts have different audio tones than from before.
After updating the modules, I noticed that there is one module (DSP - something dealing with audio) that does not update, but after speaking to others, they can not get it to update either.

Anyone else experience?

I updated the DSP module last week the day it hit FDRS. The update cleared FDRS no problem.

I can confirm your problem though, there is a loud pop noise when the doors initially open and the splash screens appear. Seems to be correlated with the DSP update unfortunately.

Does it happen just once after the update or all the time?

Anything you did special to update the DSP? I tried several times to no avail. I only got a 2 day FDRS pass though so I guess I will deal with it. Still under warranty so maybe I will let a tech play with it and figure it out (maybe even get the 4.2.x update)

Hi there. Will you send us a message with your VIN and dealership name/location? I can look into things on my end.

Same here on my end. Updated the DSP and now whenever the door gets opened you hear a pop from the speakers. One thing that I did notice is the DSP "update" doesnt clear from FDRS. Goes through the whole thing and even updates the database but it still shows as an available update no matter how many times I try to clear it.

It's annoying. Especially when it worked perfectly fine before the update.

Looks like I started something here 😊 The Ford rep on this board reached out to me. I’ll let everyone know what happens.
