I'm not trying to defend ford in this, but when you got probably. Tens of thousands trying to hit this website all at the same time... I don't care how well your scaling is. It's going to crash..
No, it's not. You can't order the adapter unless you have a vehicle that can use it. This is a finite group. Even if it were 200,000 people hitting it at the same time, which it is not, that's pretty small potatoes in terms of managing traffic. Their web team sucks. The entirety of Ford.com and everything within is such a janky kludge.

A2Z EV has to be loving the news today! I just ordered my adapter from them, which I hope will arrive well before Ford’s.

And they built their site on Shopify, so it’s not going to crash!

got through about 20 minutes ago. order number up to about 3900. received my email while trying to complete the order process so i guess it worked.

Funny thing is between retries, I received one of those automated on-page surveys asking about my experience. I was leaving feedback and then the site froze and I had to login again. 🤣

And of course the site crashed. I guess it’s my fault for not jumping on social media the minute I woke up today. 🙄

Why do we even need to reserve? Ford has our info, just ship one to every owner.

Same. This is COMPLETELY unsatisfactory. Another 3 months to be able to take my truck on the road? Sitting here pinging away at the FordPass app so I can get in line and not make it another 6 months? Come on Ford.

I saw the news earlier today on Reddit and it took a few refreshes of the app for it to finally show.
Ordered and I guess I'm order # 595...or # 90,000,595.

Do you have to be enrolled in BlueOval to order adaptor? All I keep getting is “connected services” with no ability to order. Ford should have mailed these adaptors according to purchase dates.
