I got the same wheel and tire size/offset as you. How’d you go about spreading the crash bars?Did not cut the crash bars at all just spread them a little.
How bad did it rub? Many people told me there wouldn’t be any issues with this setup. Already have all of my stuff just waiting on the truck. So after driving around I noticed in certain situations that I was rubbing the crash bars. I spread them about 1/4" on the front with a jack and now it's perfect. I think if I had stuck with 285/60/20 tires which are narrower the rubbing would have been a non issue. Also zero offset is really pushing these to the limit if you run a 33" tire or larger. A 12-18 offset is probably safer but I wanted a wider stance on this truck. By the way I moved my crash bars very little. They are not touching anything near the bumper and you can't even tell. For those who don't want to touch the crash bars don't run zero offset.
It rubbed bad enough in reverse that I knew I had to do something. I took a bottle jack with a wood block that I drilled a hole in for the shaft of the jack to go into. I then placed the jack horizontal between the two crash bars and spread them about 1/2". Measure before and after, you should see about 1" difference overall. I believe there js a video on YouTube you can watch on a guy doing this. How bad did it rub? Many people told me there wouldn’t be any issues with this setup. seeing this isn’t the best feeling. As I wasn’t trying to touch the crash bars at all.
Couldn’t find the video... yet I appreciate the response! Considering I got the same size wheel/tire along with offset my stomach dropped as I’ve spent a lot of money on my setup. It rubbed bad enough in reverse that I knew I had to do something.
