I must say, I'm a bit skeptical on this. Great if it comes through but the largest battery manufactures (CATL, BYD and LG) have been working this space for decades. I believe Ford currently uses licensed CATL technology for its LFP plants in the USA. Lightning batteries are made in USA using...
I got it with the front sensor CSP. I believe you can add the toggles with Forscan. Seems silly Ford hasn't added the toggles yet. I've had WAL for months now without the toggles.
Definitely a different model with EV. There are no physical shifting of gears now so it makes more sense with an EV.
My wife has the rotary on the MME and I have to look down to make sure it is set to the right mode since it is just a spin knob with a bunch of meaningless detents. Sure, most...
I have the TOPDON J2534 and it works fine. It is not as fast as the VCM3 from what I understand, but comparable to the speed of the VCM2. I've updated my Lightning a few times and my wife's MME with it. The warning I will give you is this - Make sure you update the firmware on the device...
This is what I did. Even with the ER, a 48 amp charger charges overnight almost always less than 8 hours unless it's completely empty trying and I'm trying to get to 100%. I sold the FCSP, bought an Emporia and came out money ahead. Some folks really need the extra power the FSCP can provide...
The 6-20 running 16 amp EVSE will do 3.5kw to the battery. That is 5 1/2 hours from completely empty to full on the 18.8kw battery. I run this for my wife's MME and it covers her daily commute plus quite nicely. It is inexpensive to have installed.
Incidentally, you can daisy chain the...
That is the tread I'm following although it is lots of info to sift through. This post links a TSB that outlines the process.

Yes. Don't try to update by FDRS without the appropriate power supply as it can brick the modules if it terminates due to power exhaustion. The IPMA update can take quite a while - mine took about 2 hours.
Not sure what you are asking but you will need at least 50-60 amp power supply to do some of the updates in FDRS. I ran a 55 amp supply and I think it was barely enough hitting 11.9 volts on a couple of the updates.
