I think what most people would agree with is that it would be fine as an OPTION, but forcing the engine on everyone will probably push as many people away as it will bring ones in. If it was something that I could have installed in the bed when I needed it and removed when I didn't I might want...
I might get an EREV some day, but at the moment I plan on running the Lightning until it dies. I do tow and plan on doing more of it when I retire, but at the moment I'm getting by fine with my SR battery.
I went with a peragon cover. It's a sliding one that drops down into the bed, but you can easily remove it also if you need the extra space. Seemed like the best of all worlds to me
I agree to the testing requirements, including the timing and content of the review.
I'd use a 3 channel camera system for multiple things; obviously to protect myself in the event of an accident, but also to record thing that sometimes happen in the truck that are memorable. I have two kids...
I'd setup the trailer like everyone has said, but it seems to take a long time to adjust the values. I'd drive it around a bit and see what kind of miles/kw you're getting and go off of that. Whenever I hook up my travel trailer the truck still says I can only go 120 miles or so, but I get 1.7...
I'm about $0.18 per KW at home during off peak times (8 pm to 11 am I think), but I've actually started charging at work recently as the one in the parking lot there only costs $0.17 per kw and I'd rather put the wear and tear on their unit.
I know you can get the exact color from the drivers side door plate and I've heard some people say they like dr color chip (I think that's the name) but I haven't used any yet. Interested to see what people say though, as I dropped my ladder on the side of my truck and have a few scratches from...
I've found that it's now slightly cheaper for me to charge my truck at work (it's a charger supplied by the local power company so I have to pay their rate of 0.17 per kw) than it is for me to charge at home during the off peak hours (0.18 per kw currently). Doesn't make any sense, but if...
I'd appreciate an answer on this as well, as I haven't received any updates since December of last year, and only 2 in the 2 and a half years I've owned the truck.
I'm not sure on the cruise switch, as I swiched out the entire steering wheel so I could have a heated one, but the fog lamp assembly bolt is the same, the wire parking distance aid is the same, and the distance sensor is the same as my Pro. I would assume they don't know what they're talking...
I didn't watch this video, but I did watch a different one about sodium ion. Evident CATL is already making them, and they're making hybrid packs with lithium pouches beside sodium ion. That way you can get the benefits of both, so it could be an interesting thing if the prices can come down...
Consider yourself lucky, I haven't gotten any updates since December or October of last year. Only two or three updates in the 2 and a half years I've had the truck
See, this type of a solution would work well for me. I have an I-beam in my garage and I could just get a pully to roll along that and use it to load and unload the batteries from my truck when I need them.
It sounds to me like Ford is moving towards what GM did with their Ultium battery; making a modular battery system that will fit multiple different types of vehicles. Seems like a good move for them and it seems like it has been working out for GM also.
