most stock wire in the truck is going to be tezfel, its more expensive than TXL tezfel is thinner also(22ga vs 22ga). I build my harnesses out of TXL wire its served me just fine for a long long time. if you want to spend the extra money get 22ga tezfel but TXL will work just fine.
Ive never installed the aux switches, but wouldnt going down the passenger pillar be better? or is the BCM in a different location on the lightning?
as for making the connections for 6/2, theres tons of ways to do it. the quickest are the T taps and probably easiest. me personally, I would...
1/9 on C9120 go to fuse 2 on the BCM instead of trying to grab power from elsewhere, i would get an add a fuse and put it in fuse 2 and run a wire up the pillar and to the console. a lot of stuff runs on fuse 2 like the moonroof and a couple other things if i remember correctly.
Id have to test and see how they function, im not with my truck and wont be near it till the weekend, but the +/- next to your headlight control might dim the switch back lights.
I think im really missing what the question in here. If was adding these aux switches and was trying to power...
we are talking about the lights in the switches correct? and we are talking about 1/9 on C9120?
if so, then yes these are nothing more than 12v LEDs that just need power/ground nothing more to operate. Ive never paid attention to my switch backlighting in my truck but I think they are on...
The way you had it looks just fine, Id go to the closest connection I could get to, instead of running wire all over the place lol
ill go ahead and apologize here, I misread the question. something you gotta understand is illumination(switch back lighting), has NOTHING to do with ambient...
BCM C2280B terminal 45 is the backlighting feature for the overhead console. these are from the bcm of an ICE truck, 45 will already be poplulated cause theres a lot of stuff on that circuit. use a tap or something to tie it in. hope this helps
the lights on the upfitter switches need to tie into the same circuit as your window/lock switches. they have nothing to do with ambient lighting. Let me look through the workshop manual. ill get back to you in a few.
take a piece of tape, put it over the glove box light opening. shade over it, now remove it and transfer it to your media bin. the light holes are the same size.
if youve already done the lighting mod, and now want color change there are 2 things that will have to happen. The cup holder lights will need changed, the connector will be opposite so youll have to cut the connector off and swap it over, the same will go for the front passenger foot well...
They’re not, probably people’s photos. They are Ice blue just like all the other ford lights. People in this thread are using the same cup holder and lights as the ICE guys.
I’ve shared them in this thread I think before ?

You’ll need to look at the engineering drawings to figure out which terminals you need. These will vary based on how you want to configure the harness.
Side note I eat 10$ of the shipping to help you guys in the great north.
