Id have to test and see how they function, im not with my truck and wont be near it till the weekend, but the +/- next to your headlight control might dim the switch back lights.

I think im really missing what the question in here. If was adding these aux switches and was trying to power them up I would run pin 11 on C9120 to pin 2 on C930 if i was looking for the shortest route to get the switches lit up. Maybe i need to read back through this thread and see what youre trying to do and what im missing.
Okay, I think we’re on the same page, just got sidetracked by the comment about you helping with ambient lighting.

I originally had planned the illumination cable to tie into another already present illumination cable in the overhead console. That’s illustrated on page 3 of the PDF, I changed my writing diagram on page 4 after your suggested to pin it into C2280B. So it sounds like you agree that pin 2 on C930 would make more sense than anything else.

Would you also wire in ground from C9120 to that same connector into pin 6?

Yeah im a shortest route possible kinda person if I can be lol. I would get power and ground from there.

This would be connecting pins 6 and 11 from C9120 to pins 6 and 2 from C930 correct? What about pins 1/9 from C9120? Still just into the frunk area with the switch cables and connect to a spare fuse in the fuse box in the frunk?

1/9 on C9120 go to fuse 2 on the BCM instead of trying to grab power from elsewhere, i would get an add a fuse and put it in fuse 2 and run a wire up the pillar and to the console. a lot of stuff runs on fuse 2 like the moonroof and a couple other things if i remember correctly.

I planned on running the switch wiring down the driver side A-pillar, so there really isn’t much difference than including it with the cable bundle in through the firewall right?

For connecting to pins 6 and 2 in connector C930, how should that be done? Haven’t done much wiring since high school engineering, so would appreciate the help!

Ive never installed the aux switches, but wouldnt going down the passenger pillar be better? or is the BCM in a different location on the lightning?

as for making the connections for 6/2, theres tons of ways to do it. the quickest are the T taps and probably easiest. me personally, I would depin the connector cut the terminal off, put the 2 22ga wires together on a new terminal and put it back in but that is a lot of work. the other methods would be cut the wire and butt splice, or strip back the inulation and solder the 2 together. theres tons of ways to do it. id pick what youre most comfortable with, any of them will get the job done. crimping a new terminal is probably hardest, followed by solder splicing being 2nd hardest.

I’ve only ever seen people go the firewall grommet on the driver’s side in videos, so admittedly I haven’t even looked to see if there’s also one on the passenger side. That’s the only reason for that.

But thanks for the different ideas to connect the wiring! I haven’t gotten around to figuring out how I was going to yet, been preoccupied still getting the wiring locations sorted. Any recommendation for what wiring to use to connect from the C9120 pigtail to the relays/add-a-circuits in the frunk compartment?

it looks like everything is 22ga, order 22ga cross link TXL wire.

Thanks! I’ve been struggling to figure out what gauge wire the pigtails from the connector are. It’s part number EU2Z-14S411-SA, but there’s not great information on it anywhere online.

most stock wire in the truck is going to be tezfel, its more expensive than TXL tezfel is thinner also(22ga vs 22ga). I build my harnesses out of TXL wire its served me just fine for a long long time. if you want to spend the extra money get 22ga tezfel but TXL will work just fine.
