I did a 100% - 14% - 100% SOC test a while ago and have ODB screenshots of the actual. I lost 1.2% actual SOC while parked at work in the low 60% range. See thread here:

Being able to charge to 100% is a good sign that the battery is just fine. Low miles from the GOM is not a concern. Could just be from recent freeway driving/cold temps.
My truck has a weird quirk in that SOC % range. I often see while in the mid to low 60's a rapid drain after sitting all day at work and turn the truck on. No warnings, it just drops 3-4% then it goes back to acting like normal. I attribute it to the BMS having trouble determining the SOC in...
Agreed. My idea is to cut the battery box off, solder the strings together, and connect that to a spare 5v power adapter. Kids are keeping me so busy I'm not sure if I'll find the time this year to try it.
For myself, no I'm sold on pure EV. I don't mind the road trip limitations 2-3 times a year for the benefits of city driving an EV 95% of the time.
My wife, on the other hand, is not so willing to compromise. I won't enumerate all the reasons why, just trust me that it ain't gonna happen...
I thought about using that dongle for mine, but it doesn't have the low voltage cutoff protection that the hardwire kit has. While I don't leave it on in parking mode, I wanted the option so I also went through the same hassle that Rick did. Except I did it in the summer when my garage was over...
I accidentally bought a bunch of strings that run on AA batteries (I thought they where tree lights but I didn't read description carefully). I was thinking about turning them into one long string to put on the truck. I like the idea of 3M command hooks.
Would be nice if they offered a cheaper version for those of us in the south. (EDIT: cheaper as in a non-heated version. Though not sure how much that actually raises the cost.) I don't know if I want to stomach that asking price without a comparable warranty attached. 4 years for $500 vs 4...
I'm quite surprised that my 12v battery has lasted 3 summers in the desert. My previous car, a Subaru Legacy, had to have 4 replacements in the 7 years I drove it. I'm still on my stock from the factory 12v in the lightning, started driving it daily Feb '23 and sitting around 52k miles. I have...
Wish I had known this when I bought my meter (an Ames from Harbor Freight). I needed it to measure the capacitance on my A/C's capacitor this past summer. I'd have splurged a bit more for one that did DC current had I known. I guess one can never have too many multimeters?? :D Hey Santa!
Looks like enough to easily power a 12v fridge and top up a small battery. Sure, it's a "rich man's toy" at the moment. But I mean, we also things like the $125k-$250k Lightship trailer (electric drive assist camping trailer you can DCFC). So $2000 for a tonneau with solar doesn't seem wildly...
