Speedo Recalibration Options

I've seen other thread for ICE F150s, but nothing from Lightning owners updating their trucks after running new tire sizes. I for one have put on 295/60/20 tires and at 70mph it is approx 1.9mph off (actually going 72). At 80mph its nearly 3mph off (actually going 83). Compared with several GPS-based devices to confirm speedo is definitely off now.

I've purchased and attempted FORscan with a bluetooth OBDLinkMX+, but appears that the iOS software on the iPad Pro is read-only? Not helpful.

So I just ordered the Rough Country Speedometer Calibrator (in-line tool for $259 https://www.roughcountry.com/speedometer-calibrator-90015.html). According to Rough Country tech today, this will work on the digital F150 cluster (same on the super duty, bronco, ICE F150, etc). Anyone actually installed one of these??? If not, I guess I'll be first and will document. I cannot be the only one interested in this topic.

Yes, borrowed a Windows laptop… but FORscan is not easily understood IMO. Felt like I was not prepared to make any changes, and the Lightning info looked different from the normal F150 screens Ive seen… uncomfortable to continue

As I get older, I find the need to "recalibrate my speedo" very depressing.

RECALIBRATION PROGRAMMED
Installed SW and updated drivers. Rough country unit updates below. They did not have the F150 in the pulldown menu for 2022 so I just picked a 2021 (I don’t really think that matters).

And I updates the tire sizes manually, and it populated the other sizes automatically.

now to tear down the dash, install it, and retest along GPS apps. More updates to come!!!
