  1. What do you set your "Home" charge limit to?

I would charge to 100% at a Level 3 (DCFC) every time, as I don't know anyone who lives at a DCFC station. 99.9999% of people who would fast charge to 100% will immediately drive their vehicle, so leaving your vehicle at 100% after fast charging is essentially not possible. If you pay to...
  2. Range took a huge drop

How much range does your gasoline vehicle lose when it gets cold?
  3. Anyone switch from a Tesla and regret it?

Tesla vehicle "durability" will be an issue for them as long as they have a California assembly plant. Why? The labor cost in California is the highest in the world, by a substantial margin. How do you make up for that? You design a vehicle with a focus on minimizing the number of parts/parts...
  4. OTA 3.5.2

So... guess the "OTA on" rate for F-150 owners? All owners, not just BEV. OK, spoiler, about half. So, despite the outrage on most forums about slow/no OTAs, most of all y'all don't give a rip. So, how do you gently prod people to turn on OTA? You send them a nice notification.
  5. Stolen Vehicle Services

Law enforcement agencies with the proper authority can request vehicle location to help recover stolen vehicles.
  6. Raptor to Lightning Opinions Please!

Just wait for the Lightning Raptor.
  7. TaxmanHog HELP lol

    Leno ordered the Raptor Lightning.
  8. 277 miles at 100% charge wtf

LOL... he should also said "I think I have the wrong battery, SR instead of ER". Otherwise we are going to get a thread for that too.
  9. Sync4 failure

You get a soft reset (like alt-ctl-del) after the vehicle has gone to sleep. Sleep usually happens about 15 minutes after you shut the vehicle off. That's why you see sync "return to normal" after a short while, but don't see it by shutting the vehicle down and turning it on immediately.
  10. F-150 Lightning will be one and done stopgap in Ford's EV plans

Partly nervous... but, it was a huge opportunity when you look at the interest there was in the Tesla truck. It was pretty much a slam dunk that F-150 Lightning would come out at least 1-2 years before any Tesla truck, as Tesla's product development process is slow, really slow. It was as...
  11. Swap for my dealers mannequin unit?

By nature, batteries with more cells should last longer due to the leveling process, since there are more cells to work with, and each should level at a slower rate.
  12. Swap for my dealers mannequin unit?

I would swap. Your ER becomes SR range in the winter. The winter SR range will be too low.
  13. Ford Authority says Lightnings being held up by chips for some features

Doesn't specifically mention Lightning. Only base F-150 has chip issues.
  14. Extended range battery constraints?

SK only provides cells. Ford builds the battery. More cells, ER. Less cells, SR.
  15. New to EVs? Learnings from Mach-E owners.

You need to have a poll... Which forum user will be the first to post "My range used to be 300 miles, now it's 200 miles. Is there something wrong with my battery?" or "I bought an ER battery, but my range is 200 miles. Did they install a SR battery by mistake?"
  16. F-150 Lightning will be one and done stopgap in Ford's EV plans

The existing platform is actually really good as an EV platform. The advantage of a new design is you can optimize it a bit, i.e. the battery case becomes the frame, for example. You could make a 4 motor, but a two motor is likely optimal already. You could argue the next generation truck...
  17. Sync4 failure

Until Ford and Apple work out the Carplay bugs, this likely will occur from time to time.
