Thanks for the plug! That is me. I'm very happy I typically get anywhere from 2.3-2.5 on the highway. 2.3 typically going 75mpg or so. 80 was giving me around 1.9-2.0
I need to check the weight, but the 18 is a few pounds lighter on the setup vs the 20s.
I’ve been awaiting this one as well and nada. What is weird is I’ve yet to have an issue with OTAs. I have not received any messages about failed installs etc.
Do they still send them out in waves?
My ice F150 12Vs were crap especially in my hybrid F150. I wonder if it’s worth replacing it with something better aftermarket?
Message is gone from Ford Pass so I guess it is sufficiently charged now.
ok good.. that’s what I ended up doing. I let it sit and cool off in the hot driveway for 25 mins before moving into the garage. I am surprised my earlier drive today didn’t help charge it a little bit (although it was a short drive).
Went out of town for a week. Drove the truck this morning on a short 10 mile round trip drive to the gym and back with zero issues. When I went to just remote start it to park it in the garage I got the " Deep Sleep" message on Fordpass.
I get what it means, but what is the way to charge...
So charging worked great. New EA station at the VW factory in Chattanooga. 6/ 350kw stalls. Hooked right up zero errors and I maxed out at 170kw for a while before tapering off to 135kw near 80%. 18 mins to go from 42%-80. Sat nice and cool in the 92 degree heat reading emails.
Only issue...
Any issue sitting in the truck with the AC blasting away while DC fast charging? First time DC charging in nearly 7 months of ownership. The EA station I plan to stop at is remote and doesn't have any stores (Walmart) or restaurants nearby. It will be 92* outside as well. Thanks for any info!
First time road tripping my Lightning. I decided to try out the Fordpass trip planner. A bit clunky, but seems to work for the most part.
I keep coming into the same issue. On my route it keeps forcing me to use a slow charger location where there are 2 EA stations in the same proximity...
Another vote for the Emporia.
I've had mine for over 6 months now. Flawless. Love the app and the data. The charger handle, chord is stout. I can't recommend one enough.
I have a little bit of a slope on my driveway. I don’t like 1pd at all for reversing down hills etc. It is just not a smooth setup compared to Tesla 1pd. I primarily drive now 2 pedal. I feel I have far greater control and prefer to creep into parking spots and reverse riding the “brakes”.
I just received 4.2.1.2 after getting home today. Ever since 4.2.1 last Saturday my ford pass connection has been rock solid. Hopefully this is all resolved now.
