Any issue sitting in the truck with the AC blasting away while DC fast charging? First time DC charging in nearly 7 months of ownership. The EA station I plan to stop at is remote and doesn't have any stores (Walmart) or restaurants nearby. It will be 92* outside as well. Thanks for any info!

no issues, you can even watch youtube or play games on the screen while you charge
Thanks for the quick reply! I purchased the max tow option, hoping the extra cooling helps during times like this.

No issues, been doing that for a while. You may want to pick up a window shade as well. If it’s pointed in the sun, AC or not you won’t want to point straight at it

The only issue would be that some of the power being delivered will be used by the A/C instead of all going to charge the battery, but it is negligible by comparison. If I had to guess, the A/C probably "steals" 1 to 2 kW from the incoming power.

It probably works out better overall because you'll likely be using it to maintain a comfortable temperature using the power feed instead of having to cool down a hot cabin using battery power when you're on your way.

My Focus Electric turns on max A/C in the cabin when fast charging begins in warm or hot weather - seems to be some sort of super-turbo-charged level of A/C. 😉 If I'm going to be sitting in the car, I have to turn it on so I can set the A/C to a reasonable level to avoid freezing. 😬

Set the 30 minute off timer to off.
and then you have to remember to flip it back on…

If you’re in the truck, you’ll get a notification before it shuts off. You can just hit ok to extend so you don’t have to remember to change the setttings.

It will reset next key cycle.

Mine didn’t, it ended up saving it to the profile as off.
Okay if this is serious, that's news to me, no matter what I've tried or how I've configured it, the power down timer always resets on the next key cycle. I wish I could permanently turn it off!

I just put it on accessory mode. I don't even turn it fully on. AC works fine.

Im not sure if there’s a cycle that’s required. But it’s happened often enough that I stopped flipping it.

I’ve got a bad habit that coming from Tesla and Rivian I always leave the truck on. It sucks to wake up the next morning to realize the truck is still on.

One thing I've run into with only the EA DC FC's is that I have to turn the truck off to initiate the charing session or it just keep reconnecting and failing. Once charging I can turn the truck back on and use AC/Etc....

Not sure if others are seeing this or not.

All my EA failures come from trying to use 350kw chargers, truck off or on, doesn’t matter. On the 150kw chargers, either way samey same.

I had that issue back in Febuary, currently on the same road trip and mostly the same chargers and have not had that problem... just pull in get out and plug in and has started charging every time... maybe the last DC fast charge update did. Little more than they told us about...
