  1. Bluecruise Update: Ford OTA team promises 1.3 for all Lightnings by end of the year

There is no Tesla that will drive you door-to-door on city streets. I have used FSD in my wifeā€™s Model Y. Itā€™s a fun gimmick. Itā€™s not ready for primetime.
  2. Attention: Ford’s Annual Price Increase on ESPs (Extended Service/Warranty Plans)! Get Yours @ Granger Ford Before It’s Too Late!

Yes, you can buy them from a local dealer. Grangerā€™s prices have just been way better than anything my local dealer has offered.
  3. Another Dreary Earnings Report for 'F'

I live in a PG&E area. There is no way you are paying $0.50 kWh with PG&E to charge your EV unless you are just doing it wrong. The off-peak (between 12am-3pm) retail rate for PG&Eā€™s EV2A plan is just under $0.31 kWh.
  4. Anyone used a Full Icon lowering Kit?

  5. Remote Climate - two steps forward, one step back

My buddy got an early 2022 Lightning and had an opportunity to provide feedback directly to Ford engineers. This was something he brought up back then. The engineers said the issue is a technical one with it being difficult to impossible to implement because of a lack of ECU differentiation...
  6. 3D Printing Fun

PETG has better UV resistance than ABS. You may want to consider using PETG for items you use externally on the truck.
  7. 3D Printing Fun

This is a fun coincidence. I recently picked up a used Prusa Mini+ to dip my toes into 3d printing. I have designed a few small parts for use around the house but nothing major. I am still working on dialing in my 3d printer and I have some larger items on my to do list. I found this...
  8. CSP-23B70 Certain 2022-23 F-150 Lightnings - BMS Sensor Replacement

I have one of the affected part numbers that is within the date range. However, my truck's build date on the door tag lists 11/22. Does this CSP apply to all affected part numbers or is it limited to those part numbers within a certain date range?
  9. Just took a 450 intersate road trip in a standard range lightning. Never again

What are ā€œnormal interstate speeds?ā€ I drive 72MPH on the highway and get between 1.8-2.2M/kWH.
  10. Trade value shock

Remember, the dealers are not Ford corporate. They are independent entities looking to make their own money.
  11. Do OTA work after FDRS updating to latest releases?

What exactly are you looking for in an update?
  12. Very Disappointed with Ford and Sun Run.

I bought my ā€˜23 Lariat ER last December. Sunrun was a pain at that time to get the FCSP released. I am pretty sure Ford knows that Sunrun may not have been the best partner and depending on them to release the FCSP was a bad idea. Sunrun wanted me to go through the entire sales process when I...
  13. Dear Ford, you've lost your mind

I love BlueCruise and use it on a weekly basis. However, any price more than $10/month is too much; maybe $15/month if the vehicleā€™s connectivity is included. Also, if I am paying a subscription for it, then I am expecting constant incremental improvements, not annual updates at best.
  14. Sunroof interior shield/concertina blinds

I could pop it back on but it would pop off again. It would stay on for a couple of uses of the shade. This was in the summer so I was opening and closing the shade a couple of times a day. I was concerned that the concertina blind would damage the shade so I got the warranty repair appointment...
  15. Sunroof interior shield/concertina blinds

Yes, my driverā€™s side concertina blind popped off a few months ago and wouldnā€™t firmly reattach. I took it into the dealership and had it replaced under warranty. The service advisor and mechanic both said it happens a lot more than they would like to admit on all models with sunroofs. They said...
  16. Trading in our 2022 Lariat ER for a Rivian R1S Dual Motor Max Pack

What do you think is the source of the limitation on the Lightning side which the Rivian overcomes?
  17. Power-Up OTA 6.2.0 - Small Adjustments

Yes, that is my understanding as well. The contactors are closed for charging and normally open. My initial statement was wrong. I should have said when on the charger instead of off. My situation is the opposite of yours in that my truck sits on a charger 99% of the time itā€™s stopped.
  18. Power-Up OTA 6.2.0 - Small Adjustments

Jim, I got my information from a Ford engineer. The issue I had was the 12v battery died when the vehicle was on the charger and I hadnā€™t driven it for about a week. What he said was the low voltage battery should charge when the vehicle is connected to the charger. Occasionally, there are...
  19. Power-Up OTA 6.2.0 - Small Adjustments

The high voltage battery needs to be isolated when the vehicle is charging.
