I chose the middle one(platinum). It comes with 'clamp on' instead of 'drill through the bed' attachment, which was the selling point for me. The extra 300 wasn't worth it to me for their different finish and 2 more years on the warranty.
Maybe a 1/2 inch?
I need to ride with mine open often enough (probably more than closed with stuff in it!), and having it folded up covering the rear window, and leaning against the window wasn't something I was comfortable with.
I ended up with the same one. I had no problem bending the braackets, it is easy with 2 sets of pliers. I like mine so far, but AM a touch concerned about not being able to open it if something gets all the way to the front. HOWEVER, Needing to crawl up the short bed is a small price to pay...
I just got it, interestingly, seemingly while my wife was driving the truck, so the 'update while driving' is actually possible it seems. I do NOT seem to have gotten PAAK.
Yep, I have this as well :/ Got a feeling my local dealer is going to have to order a bunch of parts for me.
Another one I noticed, the rear bumper plastic is 'sagging' in the middle under the tailgate.
I can't go into the dealer for a bit longer (my wife's car is in the shop for something ELSE for the next week+ at least, and she needs a car every day, so has stolen my Lightning) , but I noticed the other day that the seam between the top of the dash and the plastic liner in front of the...
Sure, but it is nice to not have to open the frunk/vehicle to charge something like that, particularly those that park outside. I keep a battery tender on one of my cars, and have a plug hidden inside the front grill for exactly that reason (it gets parked inside though).
I don't think there...
I've got a similar concern, the tiny 12v battery lawn-mower-battery in the Lightning doesn't seem like enough to jump-start anything bigger than a Camry.
I've had my eye out for a 240v plug-in battery charger that has 'jump start' capabilities that ISN'T a huge roller. I've been unable to find...
Thanks to this thread, I checked my running boards. Passenger side is de-laminating in exactly the same place as everyone else's, right around the B pillar.
It doesn't seem too troublesome quite yet, so I might wait until there is some feedback from @Ford Motor Company . I'd hate to get...
Yeah, definitely a downside with the Peragon. I ended up with it anyway, because it was the only hard cover I could find that didn't have either a bunch of unusable space from the 'roll' in the front, or would cover up a bunch of the rear window when folded up.
If someone could model a plug, I would imagine someone could easily 3D print a mold to pour a silicon-rubber plug. If I had a 3D printer I might give it a shot...
This is one of my annoyances with the Ford safety features. My wife's Niro beeps if you go out of your lane/lane assist does anything, if there is something in your blind spot when you blink, when there is a person stopped short in front, etc.
I'm always afraid that without the noise, I'll...
Just ordered the 3D one to see what I think! Looks pretty cool, particularly with a dark-truck contrast (SQ).
Yikes... I hope that looks better in person, because that isn't all that attractive.
I have a profile set up with an associated key for my wife and I. However, starting the truck with a key leaves the profile as the one it was with 'last' time, not the one associated with the key!
It won't matter to me all that much, since my wife wont drive my truck once her car gets back...
