My suggestion, return the Nano and check this thread or this one for someone who would either loan you their Mongoose or work with you on getting your updates completed.
Agreed, it's been out a few years. The 2-month is locked to hardware ID of your computer but you're not locked out of doing changes to your AsBuilt values.
Tedious yes, but worth it? You can already d/l your AsBuilt from Ford, you have the spreadsheet from @Livnitup and d/l the As-Built Compare tool from Jesse Yeager to create the checksums...
I have not been following your issue, sorry. When did the DTC show up, what module and are there any other DTC's and if so the module it's related to? Lastly, have you done any FORScan mods relating to the Reverse Brake Assist?
Location: Wilmington, NC
Abilities: FDRS, IDS and FORScan
Hardware (if FDRS): Mongoose
Additional information: I have everything needed as well as the expertise to get you up and rolling. You will have to come to me. I currently have a renewed 30 day license.
@jcaspar keep playing with fire and as @JEB stated, you were lucky. I have gotten messages from a few just doing multiple PMI's as a "Fix All" solution and that's not always the case, long story short 2 of them bricked their module(s) and had to wait on the Mongoose to resolve the issue.
The DTC I received was specific to the "Disable Auto-Reverse-Braking & Alert" mod I did in FORScan which was in conflict to the IPMA configuration with the latest update.
I'm not familiar with the Autel, maybe @Jesse-Infotainment or @iceman77 can chime in. I'd be careful with any fully compliant J2534-2 device or clone. The Mongoose is an approved device by Ford and is proving to be a tool of choice right now for those who cannot afford a VCM3.
