You still need the wiring harness too. I was only confirming the needed wiring is present at the connector in the door jamb on a 2023 Pro. The new wiring harness would plug into this connector.
Just thought I'd mention that my 2023 Pro has the required wiring and I believe early on in the thread somebody said their 2022 Pro has the required wiring as well. So, I'd bet that means every build does.
Also, I tried to pop loose that door jamb connected with a screwdriver and all that I...
Regarding the hope the supercharger adapter would be free for current customers, I saw a message in FordPass today about the supercharger announcement. At the bottom, it says this: "Adapter pricing as well as charging rates will be shared closer to Tesla Superchargers becoming available through...
In Ford's capital markets presentations today, it was clearly said that Ford's direction is to NOT try to compete with 400+ mi ranges for EVs. They want to provide enough battery for 300 mi at 70 MPH and fast charging to refil that quickly. They also specifically said they will not achieve the...
In Eastern Oklahoma, I've seen 2 other Lightnings in the wild - one in my small town and another in Tulsa. Only 1 R1T though.
My experience in the Tulsa area is that Teslas are everywhere but other EVs are scarce. In my small, poor town of Muskogee, I see Teslas regularly. Maybe it is due to...
I didn't get the update via wifi by 10:30 this morning, so I pulled the fuse. When I went to drive around noon, as soon as I turned it on, it gave me an error to stop as soon as possible. I've seen others say this happened after pulling that fuse. I turned the truck off and back on a couple...
I had the issue before the update to 4.1.1. The 4.1.1 update must have downloaded via wifi. It was probably 3 weeks after my truck dropped offline that the 4.1.1 update installed. The install must have caused the modem to reboot because it restored connectivity for about a week after the install...
When I picked up my Lightning, I was so focused on the PCO + price protection and making sure the dealer applied that correctly, I forgot entirely about the $600 I had already given them ($100 reservation + $500 deposit). When I realized that a day or 2 later, I emailed my sales rep and asked...
Awesome! I think a lot of us would agree that the truck is amazing but the dealer experience is horrible. I really hope Ford is able to change the dealer model with their Model E stuff.
Make sure your Ford survey reflects your experience! Your responses do affect the dealership
