Rodents caused 33k worth of damage to my Porsche (ate the electrical harness). Porsche used sustainable rubber compounds in their wiring that they found very tasty. Ford doesn’t do that and so far they haven’t destroyed the Lightning. Ofc I’m trying very hard to kill all the little bastards...
Did not help much. Gave the wife sciatica and killed my back, so the truck is now on its way out. Had a Roush Mustang I loved that did the same thing after a long trip… and had to sell it as well (dealer didnt see a problem with them after several tries to get it fixed). Guess its just how the...
Mine also have this, but I’m less upset about that than the fact they start sucking when you go on a country spanning road trip. Our Volvo suv cost half the price of this truck but has seats light years better than it. Our Avalanche’s seats were also much better. Trying out some beaded covers to...
I’d love a lowering kit as both wife and dog (think large older wolf) hate jumping up into the cabin. On a 5k mile road trip and its a pain for them and wife is starting to push for selling it when we’re back lol. It was substantially higher than I expected it to be. Almost feels lifted.
I had a dozen charge faults on our recent trip, but it was transient communication errors (either truck or their network). Haven’t had one on the home charger yet.
Since this might be interesting info if you are driving through the same country. We just finished 1500 mile leg of a trip that wil be ~4k by the time we return home. Headed to Santa Fe for a few weeks to visit our daughter. After this will head to Oklahoma then take the southern route back to...
Have been unable to activate “Plug and Charge” since buying the truck last month. The Ford Pass App would give the loading circle for a minute or more before “an error occurred, try again later” lol. Called Ford yesterday and, after navigating their infuriating idiotic automaton, was allowed to...
None of these companies are in the software industry, they make money by selling cars. So I’d expect to find their average dev skills, code and processes terrible by comparison .. but are “good enough” for the automotive people who make funding decisions. I wouldn’t call any of their products great.
Looks like mine will be one day too late. It’s in Kent, about 20 miles south. Dealer doesn’t think it will get here today. They offered to put it on contract but the IRS already covered that loophole. Has to be delivered (not sure what they use to tell).
Dealer checked on mine and its sitting in North Dakota. Looks like I might miss out on the 7500$. If that happens then that particular lightning becomes less interesting.
If they provided a charger then the article wouldn't be that long apparently. I guess we can be happy they didn’t run it out of charge in the field, take pictures of trying to push it home, then complain about using their tractor to tow it home.
Mine changed to .. expect delivery 12/25 - 31. If that actually happens the I get 7500$ credit and have a truck for Christmas. Was not expecting that … Crazy times lol.
