Ford HQ was absolutely useless in attempting to convince a local dealership to look at my vehicle, so I said fuck it and it has been seemingly fine. Took a couple hundred miles for the code to finally clear and it never returned. Hoping that the loose 12V battery terminal was the sole cause and...
Yes, and I'm not really concerned about how much drama you can handle.
I drive a 90 mile daily commute and need a reliable vehicle. So I will absolutely sell and find something that fits my needs if this isn't it. I went with the lightning because the Mach E was bullet proof and the F150 is a...
Got what seems to be one of the more common issues popping up on my Lightning. Had the truck for a few weeks now, doing about 90 miles a day (2700 total), and had the Powertrain Malfunction code pop up seemingly unprovoked. Down powered permanently to 67%, which I'll admit is much more...
Not that absurd. Check any car sales website. They are selling for that. Like I said, I don't need to sell it, I could easily trade it in a few months for 70+ I'm sure. And then that dealer can sell it for 80-90k used, like many are already doing. Might as well buy it from me essentially new...
My driveway will be looking like this in a few short weeks when my XLT arrives!!! Love the look of the Bronco and the Lightning next to each other, the perfect complement to my wife's gas guzzler!
Heated seats are weak compared to heated seats of other vehicles. Our new Bronco will warm your ass to the point to turning them down a notch after maybe 10 minutes. I can barely feel the heated seats in the Mach E after my long commute to work at 10F. They worked, but it is obvious they are not...
I've struggled to even get my Mach E to warm the cabin above 50F when it gets down to significantly below freezing. Like at 10F the heater is insufficient for warming the cabin at all. Literally shivering on my way to work, and I drive for 50 minutes so it isnt a time thing. Luckily that is like...
The ER lightning would be perfect for me. But we already have a 60k vehicle in the driveway and can't stomach a 75k ER Lightning on top of it for me. I'll give the SR a chance and trade for better range EV Truck if Ford continues to hide the ER behind egregious packages. Historically RAM hasn't...
A lot of people (me) live in severely cold climates part of the year and legitimately need double the range that others in warmer climates need. So sure, 300-400 miles is a reasonable ask for most people, but that's ~200 winter miles for me, barely sufficient for what most people expect. 500-600...
Curious what EV you have living in Upstate NY? I've got a Mach E AWD Std range and I honestly don't recommend it to anyone with a decent commute if they don't also have an ICE vehicle in the home for the times when range is an issue, which is semi-regularly for us. The range in the winter is...
How did you spec it? I've specd one a couple times and am never happy with the price to bells and whistles ratio... I have a wave 2 lightning coming eventually, but am still looking at a powerboat if I don't like it when it arrives...
I've had Fallen Wildpeak AT3s on my last 2 trucks and they're great. No noise issues, last a long time, and never got me stuck. I went with the AT on my Lightning due to marginal cost, but will probably go back to the AT3s when necessary. Idc about range so long as I maintain the 200 my AWD Mach...
Squandered? What is the alternative, equivalent vehicle? Oh shit, there isn't one. Not for at least a year or more. Y'all will be crawling back in line for a Lightning when Chevy and Ram have the same issues. And guess what, the price of those vehicle is going to far exceed the price of this...
Your comment about heated seats is exactly why the XLT+ or Lariat is the absolute minimum if you live where it gets really cold. The heat in my Mach E when the weather is sub freezing decimates the battery.
Who are you with now that you are that far down in line? 46 is pretty far down for central NY. I was #1 in line for my Bronco, and that was a day 2 rez. Not much competition up here for whatever reason.
