Yep. We were one of those situations where convenience was important. The other comparable aspect to this is some neighbors of mine who, since they did not have a 131KW battery in a truck, installed battery panels in their solar installs. I find it amazing that the truck is equivalent of like 10...
My only gripe on this Tom was the comparison of functionality of a $1500 manual transfer switch to the HIS. I think a better comparison would be the Generator system that you had installed prior. My reason for this comparison was that I was in the market for a similar generator setup using...
Yep, nothing else for me. The person said the week of the 15th. And based upon Tom's comments in his new video on this subject, I would expect something in the next week or two.
Thanks for this... Just ordered the same parts via ford ($123 total). SHould have bought these things a while ago... Running board and back of truck bed gets lots of dirt and water up there...
It depends on your solar system. If you are building it, you could just simply install the panels (non-enphase/inline inverters) and it would work from what I understand with the inputs on the BDI. I.e. It has to have a DC input, not an AC and be under 10KW in total power.
Yeah, I do not use the inverter in the HIS. I have a 15.6 KHW inline inverter system that would not integrate with the 4KW max BDI. I am aware that the BDI comes in larger (up to 10KW) so it may work for you if you plan on not using inline inverters. My enphase system hence does not "play" with...
From other thread on my install... Thanks to @hifixenthusiast. They finally have a process in place for us non-SunRun Customers at SunRun to register the equipment to have it show in the FOrdpass App
Yeah, s I just called today and went through the same process. Looks like they are finally clearing the logjam for us non-SunRun customers with a HIS. I got the same date of 1/15 so it seems like an update may be coming through that week. Fingers also crossed.
I have had a ticket open with FOrd on the app not saying the system is ready for about 3 months. Ford can't do anything to get it resolved and it is supposidly in SunRuns basket to fix somehow. It does not prevent the system from functioning so I wll deal with it for now. You are not alone there...
I have never got this error but I do believe that mine has malfunctioned in the past. It happened around 55 mph on the freeway (when it deploys) and I got a vibration that I could hear. I slowed down to around 50 and it went away and then sped up again to 65 and it happened again. It has not...
Yep, just like a few of us on the forum as well. It seems that Ford is aware of us and are trying to make something work with SunRun to make it work. I am supposed to get called by tomorrow from SunRun but we'll see...
I have been working with Ford support for about a month now on just trying to get the Fordpass "backup power" widget fully functional. Since those of us outside of a SunRun managed state don't have a process for getting our equipment identified as being ready to go, it prevents this from...
https://sites.google.com/sunrun.com/sop/sops/ev-chargers/ford-ev-charger this definitely helped my electrician. Check out my post on the back-up power section of the forums for some interesting aspects that I and others have learned as well…
I mean... To each their own. Classification is an art. It is incorrect to call these things cars though for sure. My bad.
âś… Truck: a wheeled vehicle for moving heavy articles: such as
a strong horse-drawn or automotive vehicle (such as a pickup) for hauling
(n)Car: a four-wheeled road...

DOes it take a bit of time for it get sorted? I used to love waze but it just would never get my location right. I ensured it could in the phone as well.
As someone who deals with military specification, I would be interested to understand which spec they are actually using for the actual liner. Military grade is not always the best
Internet aspect makes sense. The thing is that with Carplay or Android Auto you really don't need to even have the phone out of your pocket. Unless you NEED to charge it. While Carplay has some quirks (mostly not immediately starting in the car sometimes), I do tend to think that it has pretty...
Does Carplay or Android Auto not work for a specific app? Trying to understand the necessity for a mount like this with those and the wireless QI charger...
