  1. 2024 Lightning Flash (new EV owner) 30 day review

Back in 2023 there was a difference and sometimes large - and made worse by the lack of EV tax credit for foreign brands until they began using the lease tax loophole of 45W. In 2024 the difference has shrunk or sometimes sides with EVs due to discounts/rebates.

It was just at the Electrify Expo this past weekend... just chilling
  3. Fast charging efficiency by Edmunds places F150 Lightning near the bottom

I never owned a CyberTurd. I own a Mach-E and know how slow Ford EVs charge. I owned a Rivian R1S for about 8 months and found the 1C charge rate tooooo slooooow. 3C of the E-GMP should be the norm. You notice Rivians and Lightning sitting at EA locations for an hour? That's because of the...
  4. Fast charging efficiency by Edmunds places F150 Lightning near the bottom

Sorry to burst your bubble but my former Ioniq 5 consistently achieved 230 kW (3C) from 40-80% while my former Rivian R1S struggled to keep 130 kW in that same range. Large EVs like the Lightning and Rivians need to be 800V. Sub 200 kW (1.5C) charge speeds are not acceptable on an EV with a...
  5. Leasing through someone other than Ford

From my experience research Jeep 4xE leases is that these different banks have very different rules. Some don’t allow buyouts, some don’t allow third party buyouts, some charge market value for buyout, some don’t allow lease transfers etc. If you plan to lease the entire term without any option...
  6. Lightning v. Mach-E: Same Miles/kWH??

The Mach-E GTPE is insanely inefficient. One of the worst of the EVs I've owned and I've owned too many lol. I barely achieved 2.5 mi/kWh in daily commuting (80% going 60-65mph) in the GTPE whereas with the Mach-E Premium AWD ER I'd achieve 3.3 mi/kWh easily. It's the performance tires and...
  7. Is there a way to lease the F150L with a 3rd-party bank to capture the $7500 tax credit and then buy it out?

This. Ford Options is useless for those who exceed the $150K/300K MAGI limits. Ally, US Bank, etc. need to step in and provide leases with cap reduction pass throughs. Slap on high fees so when the lease is bought out they can still profit a little.
