Others have had this issue. I believe its a bad switch or relay that the dealer needs to replace. The motor gets engaged in the on position and gets really hot if it is the same problem. Here is a temporary workaround to roll it up on the ICE forum...

I replaced mine with the $30 Dayton Audio one off Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00Q3M9852). It matches the 8 Ohm from the original speaker. Downside is it doesn't have a mount like the factory one. You can use the mount on it to screw into the plastic around the factory mount...
