What dealer did you take this to in north Jersey?
The service center at All American Ford in Old Bridge was great when I took my Mach E there. A bit of a drive from north Jersey but it was worth it.
Funny, I'm on the phone with Ford parts now and they can't find my second order! I'm going to get a callback once they figure it out. I have an email confirmation and it shows on my account, as well.
I'm in the high 200s for both my adapters and one arrived Sunday while the other has not. No shipping notification at all for the one that was delivered, just a FedEx notification.
I wouldn't say I've noticed a "bad rap" on this truck, but funny enough I've had multiple people tell me they thought Ford stopped making the Lightning š This is what happens when we only read headlines (and poorly).
We can all agree it's absolutely insane we still haven't gotten the Bluecruise update, right? It was supposed to happen LAST summer.
In fact, Ford was so confident that they said they were surprising us by releasing it even earlier in the summer!
Thatās how Iām doing off-peak charging with my utility. I sold my FCSP and bought a ChargePoint (of which my state has a rebate) and registered for cheap electricity. It was a .10 discount, pretty sizable.
You may want to look into a charger then that would sit sort of vertically, maybe in a cup holder or in the cubby in front of the shifter? Because I donāt think you could get a MagSafe charger to sit on the tray cover without blocking access to the tray underneath (unless you donāt care about...
Hi all,
I have been using the Twraps MagSafe charger for my Mach E due to the Ford charger being awful, and was unsurprised to find the wireless charger in the Lightning also sucks.
So I reached out to Twraps on the Mach E forum to see if he would be interested in making one for the Lightning...
Forgive me, but this looks even more chaotic. Some of them say "use other side"...so how would this work better for the Lightning? In your photos it seems like the chargers that would reach the Lightning charge port are the ones for use on the *other* side.
They have access to the EVSE. I was provided a "connection code" to input into the Chargepoint app, as seen below. It then populated the charging plan and activated, all in the Chargepoint app:
