Wheels fall off *
I have two in service. So I may get to a point that I give my two sons a chance to each buy one as they get higher in mileage such that it would put them within their price range.
But it also depends on what the market looks like to replace them, whenever that time comes around.
A lot of the politics around EVs comes from not reaching out to different audiences and speaking to what moves them. Basic sales 101.
If the only talking point is environmentalism, then it will only appeal to people that hold that as an important issue to them.
But if you bring things like...
I did already, actually I bought my first one, a 23 Platinum, from my original pre-order in the fall of 22. I bought my second one, a 23 Lariat, fall of 23.
They have served me well. A joy to drive, decent features, and has saved me a ton in fuel.
With that said, I also had a preorder on...
And then take that card out of the glove box and store it in your safe at home. Otherwise, anyone who gets even temporary access to your vehicle could get it and make note. Think valet, car wash, lot guy at the dealer, passengers, kids, etc.
I think my Platinum has audio gear there, iirc. But yeah, if the space is open, would be a good place for one of them BuiltRight Molle panels with emergency gear or some such. Med kit, loaded mags, whatever. Out of sight so not likely to draw attention.
I just received this one yesterday, after receiving ECG-24.2.5.6.2, 6.14.0, and 10.1.0 all in the last few days. 23 Platinum.
Worth mentioning that I also have a 23 Lariat, that has received no updates in the last year, except the ones manually pushed at the dealer a few months ago.
This right here perfectly states it. While I can understand the potential for viral marketing as a result of in-vehicle karaoke, the above 3 features are SORELY lacking, and should be trivial to implement.
The only useful feedback I can offer is this: I am a business owner, but I didn't buy as a fleet customer. I'm guessing that they asked me if I had a company when I was activating Telematics, I said yes (I do), and so they must've converted me into a fleet customer, I guess.
All trims. Mine are Platinum and Lariat.
Also, I was just a retail customer. I was a preorder for my Platinum, and my Lariat was bought off the lot a year later.
Fords repeated use of the word PRO for unrelated products/services just creates confusion.
