  1. 12 volt battery success ?

I changed to Sodium not long after I started getting "shut down to protect battery" (or something like that). Took 20 mins and then ran the BMS reset procedure. To be sure I also have a Fisker which can be a 12v nightmare, so I'm somewhat attuned to having 250 miles of range but no way to...
  2. Options for removing running boards

Love my AMPs. My Platinum was a demo with fixed boards so I replaced them. Seems many fail to mention to also buy the optional AMP 3 way switch! It allows you to lock them up, lock them down, or leave in auto mode. Handy in car wash since the prep guys with power washer can clean them if...
  3. Can someone tell me what the part numbers for the running board caps are for this running board?

Not that it matters but I had AMP powered boards installed and love them. Accidentally left them down in car wash and lost the front cap on driver side. Think the new cap (which snaps into place) cost $25?? Since you have factory fixed, suggest you watch for someone like me who replaced...
  4. Ford what the heck! What about this!??

šŸ˜…I left mine at airport while I was visiting relatives. About 3 days in I got the zero mile indication but then I closed the app and reopened it And it changed. On the 4th day I could only see statistics from that last event. The app would not communicate with the trucK. When I got back 3...
  5. South Florida: Need recommendation for a Good Dealership Service Dept

Ask for service advisor Thomas he seems to know more about EVs and has been very helpful. They will come pick up and return after service you need to ask.
  6. South Florida: Need recommendation for a Good Dealership Service Dept

I have used Mulinax on Northlake. Sometime I wonder but so far they seem to have at least 1 competent tech on board. From my perspective it’s a Ford home issue as they don’t seem to support the dealers very well. Took 3 weeks after I got it (it was a demo in Mass that I got a great deal on)...
  7. Where to buy spare tire and wheel

I have a fully functional and unused spare factory mag wheel and tire that has never been used $100 plus shipping. I’m in WPB Fl if you want to pick it up.
  8. What is your truck's nickname?

Blue Smoke (IBS) When CBs were in fashion I made a trip home from Chattanooga to Key West every years in late 70s and early 80s at Christmas. Of course we would have a convoy with the lead vehicle carefully making sure we were all complying with the speed limit :sunglasses: Always got to...
  9. šŸš€ 25% OFF! Rocks, Bugs? Your Hood Has a Shield šŸ›”ļø

Since this is a "Lightning" forum and you are promoting "bug deflectors" it would be nice if you actually made one for a Lightning.
  10. Rotary dial mod spray paint color

  12. Where to buy spare tire and wheel

A 22 Platinum wheel also fits. Been there done that!
  13. Spare tire question

I have a Platinum and a 22" Platinum will fit in the spare wheel well. Did not try to program TPM. Can the system actually monitor 5 wheels? I have programing tool I'll be all over that if it can be done.
  14. Thanks Ford for the improved hands-on-wheel detection; Advanced Driver Assistance System update (24-PU0105-CMR-FX)

Unfortunatly Harry was mislead on one point. While its true helicopters don’t glide they can autorotate which is a form of gliding. Simply stated if all you have is an engine failure and you quickly quit trying to apply lift (lower the collective which controls blade pitch) you can fly the...
  15. Thanks Ford for the improved hands-on-wheel detection; Advanced Driver Assistance System update (24-PU0105-CMR-FX)

I also flew airplanes Cessna 150, 172, 310, cherokee 6, Apache, and got an hour or so of stick time in and OV-10 and a C-141. Also have about 50 hours in T34A, the only airplane I ever flew that had a stick and not a yoke. I soloed in a OH-13 and then flew UH-1A and Bs in flight school to get...
  16. Thanks Ford for the improved hands-on-wheel detection; Advanced Driver Assistance System update (24-PU0105-CMR-FX)

I doubt they will ever get it light enough for Me. I spent 1,000s hours flying Hueys and, after hundreds of hours, when I was on the cyclic flying, you would never see that cyclic visibly move (pilot technique) especially at hover when added lift was so valuable. You can actually ā€œthink’...
  17. Repair Nightmare - Ford engineers taking incorrect SW approach

Mine was in the shop for 3 weeks about 2 months after I purchased it as dealer demo with 800 miles on it. Ran fine but would not update. Ford and the dealer went back and forth decided it was com module and ordered one while they were still looking at it it seems someone thought to check...
  18. Safety Program: 25S18 aka 25V131: HV Battery Electrode Misalignment Discussion

Got mine back yesterday. Based on the work sheet some heat-shields and another item (i assume battery module were replaced) . Charged it up to 90% (on my house solar system) and backed it into the detached garage. Will drive it today. I'm happy it was not torn completely apart. Don't fix...

  20. Safety Program: 25S18 aka 25V131: HV Battery Electrode Misalignment Discussion

My dealer insists that they need to verify the problem before they can order parts. All the long saying I have the problem. i challenged them on that but it was like talking to a brick wall. They are going to pick it up in the morning and test it tomorrow. And then order parts. What a...
