My dealer is in a very small town... so small dealer. I talked to the service manager and he said he would take care of it. A month went by and still no part. I talked to someone in the parts department and explained the situation and they wrote up a parts request calling it a recall. The part...

I tested backing into a bush and actually hooking up my trailer and in either situation was I able to reproduce the issue. I really believe there may be a problem with a partially closed door but I certainly can’t simulate the event at this point. If it reoccurs I’ll report back to this thread...
That’s an excellent point that I totally forgot about… since the proximity alarm is definitely going off as I’m slowly approaching the trailer. I’ve got a bush near my driveway that I can do some testing with this evening.
I did some testing yesterday and was only ever able to get it to happen when the door was slightly ajar. It just might be my fault... not closing the door fully or opening the door too soon to check the hitch. I did run into a situation today that makes me think we need a bypass on the action...
It is, but not as many iterations. As I mentioned, this has only ever happened when backing up to hook up my trailer… thankfully never at a busy intersection. I’ll try to see if I can trigger the problem on the street and report back if I have any success.
This has been happening to me but no where near as frequently. In my experience this situation occurs when backing up on soft ground to connect my trailer. Driver door is closed, no seat belt, but lots of braking as I slowly approach the trailer hitch while watching the backup camera. At some...
There has got to be some talented CAD designer out there that could spend a few minutes designing a new clip that can easily be 3d printed. Having a downloadable design sure would be nice (and appreciated).
Got mine installed yesterday without a hitch. Did a check on my 12V battery before attempting it.

I recently purchased the Vgate vLinker FS Bluetooth OBD2 Diagnostic Scan Tool and tried it with both Forscan and Car Scanner. I used the @Capstone template and it worked perfectly the first time. What a huge help for a newbie like myself. Thanks @Capstone! I've been leaving it plugged in just...
Thanks for confirming the app has issues. I've seen similar. Last night's charge that completed at 9pm didn't show up in the log until 9am this morning... even after refreshing the app several times.
First thing I tried was a pressure washer and had no luck. The pressure washer is a 120V/20 amp unit and it must be close to max when it starts because it tripped the Lightning circuit every time. I have not had a chance to put a meter on it yet to see just what the starting current actually...
Quick question... I found that my old OBD scanner and software (iOS) is not compatible with the Lightning. I already purchased Torque Car Pro only to find that it won't talk to my scanner. Is there any consensus on the forum as to what is 'best'??? Any guidance is appreciated.
Thx
Thanks guys. I'm a new owner and this frunk closing issue just happened to me. Had the frunk open for a couple hours doing a 12V charge and when it was time to close the frunk nothing worked. Had to manually close it and then everything started working again. Glad I was close to a computer to...
I have the same problem here with raccoons. Raccoons have torn the under hood and A/C insulation out of two trucks in past years. If I'm going to let the trucks sit for any time I usually put aluminum foil around the engine compartment. In the case of a Lightning... I have no clue. I'm...
