Yes, I tried the lane center assist button with both adaptive cruise control activated and without. Results were similar with the progression into excessive sway/wobble. It’s good to hear that you didn’t have the same experience. I’m generally not a fan of the lane centering feature, and using...
I am on my first trip towing our 19-foot travel trailer this week and I experienced a pretty significant issue when attempting to use lane centering while towing. I have about 2,500 miles on my Platinum PB 4WD with max tow. While traveling on a two-lane highway at about 65 mph, I engaged the...
I had this on my 2018 and was always frustrated, until I found out that the BLIS with trailer connection has to be enabled in a different section of the set-up. I had it set-up and working with my 2018. I don't have my 2018 anymore and have not set-up my 2021 yet, but I will look when I get time...
They came installed on my 2018 F150 and I never had a problem in 3 years. As others have mentioned, I liked them better than the OEM ones that are on my 2021. AMP ones seemed quieter, and dropped down further to make getting in and out less of a climb than what Ford came up with on theirs.
Thanks for the tips. I will definitely contact you on Stanley. I was a month late on booking a campground up there so I am going to have to wing that - not my idea to travel in the summer with the crowds but lots of teachers in my family so that's when they can travel. Getting something first...
I listen mainly to my phone and will probably let Sirius expire, but I felt the same thing about the center front speaker dominating until I moved the fade from between the front seats to just behind the front seats. That seems to open up the speakers above and behind me for a much fuller sound...
Very cool on the trailer set-up. Sounds perfect with kids. We are heading from S. California to Dinosaur National Monument to do a 5 day rafting trip on the Yampa/Green. Meeting up with more family after so we are doing a little zigzagging from there to Flaming Gorge, Stanley ID, Boise, Island...
A good start is the VIN# generated towing calculator that has been linked on this board within the last few weeks. It was popular, so should be easy to find. With your VIN# in hand, that will bring up a calculator where you can input your pertinent details and it will let you know where you fall...
Great news. Thanks for posting. I really love the pop-out beds of that Roo TT. Seems super efficient. I am doing CA to Utah, Idaho, Montana, Oregon this summer and will be dialing in my trailer with the new truck on a couple small trips the next couple months.
I have a couple warm-up trips planned before our big 3,000 mile trip in June. I think the 25-mile test trip is a good idea that I will also do before my first trip. This weekend I am planning to hook up for the first time to test things out - I changed from 2018 2WD to 2021 4WD and my truck is...
Great write-up Terry. Thank you for taking the time to post in such detail. Your input on this forum always seems to be coming a week or two before I get into the same issue, and it has really helped. My first trailer trip is coming in about a month, so I am just getting into my new towing...
Larry - I also tow a Lance 1995 (2018). Bought it used a year ago and absolutely love it. Quality is night and day better than most brands, and it only takes a minute in the trailer to feel/see it. I towed it with a 2018 3.5L Ecoboost (1,650 payload) with E2 WDH and had absolutely no problem...
