Well.. with Ford's 23 MY price increase.... there is no $40k Lightning anymore. I don't expect Chevy to keep their $40k price point and Tesla will definitely not deliver a $40k CT because they don't have to. People are paying $70k+ for R1Ts and LIghtnings (even Pro and XLT models) so Elon isn't...
Actually, they did produce an SR/RWD Y for a short period of time... from about end of December 2020 to mid 2021... for ~$39k.
I have one... jumped on it as soon as they announced it.
I feel very little difference between mine and the AWD Y.
Elon cut it because. he probably didn't need a low...
I like coasting due to foot fatigue just how I like hold mode (in an ICE) or 1PD at a stoplight.
Maybe instead of regen paddles (like on Hyundai/Kias), there should be a coast paddle.
Finally saw an XLT trim at the OC Auto Show in SoCal this past weekend. Have only seen the Lariat before that and I actually don't mind the smaller center console and prefer the cloth seats.
Finding an actual XLT to buy without a reservation in SoCal is Mission Impossible.
The question here is does the customer have ANY right to be upset? Clearly the sign says you must be charging and they are not. The best deterrent is the one that inconveniences people the most.\
Or maybe put a note on their windshield saying next time they will be towed... grey ticketing. :)
Not sure how towing rules work. If you're a landlord and someone is in violation of your parking rules, can you have a towing company tow the vehicle at the owner's expense, costing the landlord nothing but a phone call?
Lease terms are not very good today either. MFs are higher and residuals aren't as good as the used car market has been.
You might be better off with Ford Option or a 3rd party balloon payment loan (payment saver).
Does this happen in NY a lot? Because in SoCal, can't find hardly any cancellations and if there is... $20k markup.
On another forum, a guy from NY was able to get an XLT cancellation for $6500 over MSRP which considering the 2023 increase, was a no-brainer.
You NYers should PM me any...
Considering the $6-$9k markup for 23s... I'll buy a 22 XLT with maybe a $10k markup... but that doesn't exist. I'm not paying but $20k+ like I see some dealerships... bleh.
