  1. Truck Powered Adventures: Antimatter Blue Lariat F-150 Lightning

@JonS They are the "Yakima HD Bars", while the "Bedrock" refers to the mounting system for the bed of the truck. I'm using the Retrax Pro XR tonneau cover.
  2. Bluecruise "Resume Control" Failure with Alarm

@TaxmanHog yeah just to clarify- after grabbing the wheel it doesn't clear the warning. It doesn't clear the warning after I attempt to 'disable' cruise control. It doesn't clear the warning when I exit the freeway, stop completely, turn, etc. I have to continually drive with the warning...
  3. Bluecruise "Resume Control" Failure with Alarm

This has happened multiple times. Driving comfortably with Bluecruise, then suddenly the "Resume Control" flashes on the screen with the associated alarm. At that point everything locks into that state. I try to turn cruise control off, and wiggle the wheel, I get OFF the freeway- nothing...
  4. Water in rear light bar

Well I'm glad I found this thread. Kinda. Had quite a few little problems that I was 'ignoring', one of them was annoying flickering of the white LED (reverse lights) and I thought I had a few drivers flash their brights at me on the freeway- probably because my red lights were flickering...
  5. Guaranteed First Ride Smiles/Laughs

Ever since I got my Lightning, I have felt a great burden weighing on me. "With great power comes great responsibility" my uncle Ben once told me. Or maybe it was Spiderman that told me that... or his uncle... whatever. I have been giving friends, neighbors, and a surprising number of...
  6. Truck Powered Adventures: Antimatter Blue Lariat F-150 Lightning

I have the original version of the Kuat NV and I have loved it! They make even fancier racks now, and I'm sure they are incredible... but I'll have to start a "go fund me" if I ever want to get one.
  7. Sand Driving with Traction Control Deactivated a MUST

I'm sure driving any capable vehicle on sand like this is a blast, but something about the Lightning just feels so effortless. I am still finding sand in every possible location in/on the truck, so be prepared for that...
  8. Sand Driving with Traction Control Deactivated a MUST

I had no intention of doing this, but fate had other plans for me and I let nature take it's course. Driving on the sandy beach next to the lake was 'fun', and it was beautiful... but something deep in my gut kept grumbling... 'release the beast'. Instinctively, although never having done...
  9. Truck Powered Adventures: Antimatter Blue Lariat F-150 Lightning

haha Thanks @Oneand0 ! I wish I had a videographer follow me around. Unfortunately I am a lowly normal person that has to do my own video work. The salesman was a good sport when I told him I wanted to do a "first look", so he used my phone and we had a good laugh. Thanks for following me...
  10. Truck Powered Adventures: Antimatter Blue Lariat F-150 Lightning

@mstuewe I use 1 pedal drive basically all the time (outside of towing, which does not allow it). Today I had cruise set to 79mph, and I got 2.3 mi/kwh on my 35 mile commute. That's with my tonneau cover and crossbars on the back. That is standard for me lately.
  11. Truck Powered Adventures: Antimatter Blue Lariat F-150 Lightning

@meow The only real impact is that I can't see well (or at all) out my back window. BlueCruise still works well (the same) and rear cameras can be used while driving in a crunch. Locking situation: my tent is free to be stolen by anyone who can reach a wrench up under the tonneau cover and get...
  12. Truck Powered Adventures: Antimatter Blue Lariat F-150 Lightning

I've gathered some interesting information in regards to range. I don't have an overwhelming amount of data to lay out, but I have been tracking different scenarios. I'll summarize a few points: Typical range: I drive an average of 70 freeway miles every day at about 75-80 mph. I have been...
  13. Truck Powered Adventures: Antimatter Blue Lariat F-150 Lightning

I checked this forum every day for almost a year in anticipation of my Lightning, then by some miracle I was able to order mine. Since it has arrived I haven't spent much time here, but I recently started an Instagram account to document details and adventures with the truck. I used to search...
