This has happened multiple times. Driving comfortably with Bluecruise, then suddenly the "Resume Control" flashes on the screen with the associated alarm. At that point everything locks into that state. I try to turn cruise control off, and wiggle the wheel, I get OFF the freeway- nothing works except for parking, turning the truck off, then starting fresh. Pretty unnerving and super annoying. I've had to just finish my commute home with 10+ minutes of alarm sounds a couple of times.

I've had that occur, but not persistently as you experienced, usually it's a couple seconds warning, I grab the wheel, it silences, then I continue drive control until the trucks blue cruise is confident to resume autonomous control.

The situation which trips this event is a section of I-495 between Littleton Ma and Marlborough where MASSDOT contractor repaved a section of highway late last fall, the contractor has yet to come out and put down ANY KIND of lines, not even temporary striping, for about 75 feet length the full width of the bridge, every time BC panics and asks me to take control

TaxmanHog, what you are describing is normal. Hands free Bluecruise is intentionally very conservative right now. There are a couple curves on my way to work that mine asks me for help with every time.

I've read the reason for this is they haven't programmed a way to slow down on curves yet. Supposedly a Bluecruise update is coming this year that will at least implement lane biasing, which will keep you a little farther away from other vehicles. I'm not sure if it will ask us to takeover less.

Truck powered, what you are describing sounds terrible. My first thought is a reboot but I have no clue what fuse that might be. If that doesn't work it's probably a trip to the dealership. There are error codes they can see that don't show up on OBD scans. That said, I'm not an expert. Someone else might have a better idea.

@TaxmanHog yeah just to clarify- after grabbing the wheel it doesn't clear the warning. It doesn't clear the warning after I attempt to 'disable' cruise control. It doesn't clear the warning when I exit the freeway, stop completely, turn, etc. I have to continually drive with the warning flashing and the alarm sounding (this has happened twice while I was on a phone call- I had to grab the phone, change the audio to 'iPhone' and then talk over the sounding alarm).

I didn't intend to imply that its a problem in my case, I just related what trips the event, now why the OP has a continuous warning is a mystery, possibly a bad tactile sensor on the steering wheel?
