I am still looking myself and am considering all the three you mentioned. From what I have found so far, the Dimandback should be more waterproof than the other two given it is using a compresed weather strip. You can mount a accessory track or just bolt the mounts (eg bike). However, you will...
See this video from Ford on their trailer camera. It states that a bed camera is needed. (It also mentions ULTIMATE TRAILER TOW CAMERA, but I think this is a Super Duty option.) If Ford has gone to a digital system for their camera's with Sync 4 they could probably get away with two wires...
Looks like you have an LED light on the trailer. There are posts on another thread talking about getting errors on the truck when the trailer has LED lights. Might be the same issue.
According to the Ford option weights the Max Trailer tow adds 26 lbs. The Trailer Tow adds 11 lbs. Do the delta should be 15 lbs. Not sure where the extra weight is coming from.
I had the same concern regarding payload. I ended up going with a 3.5 ECOboost rather than a Powerboost, based on my research.
I created a spreadsheet to estimate the payload that I would end up with, based on the options selected. Link below to the post. Note the spreadsheet attached in the...
It sounds to me that it is working correctly based on the above statement. It is not pressing the brake peddle that applys the voltage to the trailer brake wire, it is the brake controller that does that. I can't say how the Ford brake controller works (1st time with a built in controller) but...
If you ordered a 2kw inverter, which means you are not getting a PB, the inverter takes some space under the rear seat so the lockable storage option will not fit. You will need to get after market storage. There are some that don't go the full width, and will likely be some comming that account...
From the ford site https://owner.ford.com/support/how-tos/sync/sync-4-and-4a/how-do-i-use-the-ford-sync-4-navigation-system.html
As far as I can tell the connected nav uses the Ford Pass app, so works through your phone. The connected built-in nav downloads the maps to the vehicle and uses the...
Line-X has a colour option. (https://linex.com/bedliners/xtra). Their site has some pictues. I was considering it, but will likely go with the standard black.
Re " There will be an update coming..." It's odd they released this truck and removed the sticker option that worked so well with my 2016 XLT. "
If they built SYNC4 from the scratch, rather tan starting with SYNC3, it would be a matter of not having added it to SYNC4 yet. With over the air...
My read on the specs document is that the EcoBoost engines get a larger radiator with trailer tow. The Powerboost has two rows in the cooling system specs (standard, Trailer Tow) but they are both the same.
In the Weight Ratings section of the specs document, it specifies the axle rating of the various cab and wheel base options. I believe taking the axle rating from that table and applying it to Spring Spec table you referenced will show what springs will be put on the truck. Though I do note they...
For what ever reason, the table in the F-150 spec document only lists the front and total weights. My assumption is the front is the front axle weight. To get the rear axle weight just subtract front from total. I only used total in the spreadsheet.
From the specs document (section below) a 4x2 with can have rear GVWR of 3800 if not max tow or 4150 with max tow. A 4x4 only has 4150 with or without max tow. So something is definitely off with that line.
I did a similar effort to try to figure out the payload for what I was considering ordering . I ended up putting the weights into a spreadsheet to try to figure out what I wanted to order. I have attached an updated version of the spreadsheet. Option 2 in the spreadsheet is based on a build I...
