I'm quite fond of sitting up high in the vehicle now that I have head clearance for a change (I'm 6'2"). But I'm noticing more that the rearview takes up a decent amount of visual real estate.
Below is a shot of my view from the cabin. Notice how the rearview is almost the same size as the car...
If this thing has a foldable mid-gate then I'm gonna be giving this some looks.
I probably won't give up my lightning at this point, but between this and the slate it's really nice to have some options on the horizon.
Lariat uses all season tires versus the pro that's equipped with all terrain. The all seasons are more efficient but then lost to the added diameter versus the pro's 18". That's how I figured anyway. Really just speculating.
Weight doesn't contribute much to range loss. That one is definitely...
There were a lot of reasons why I bought my Lightning, but one of the reasons was so that I could help invest in the build out of more electric vehicles for the US fleet. Happy to see my small investment paying off. Fingers crossed it's a great vehicle like the Lightning and that it gets more...
We moved into a home that went the river rock route but it was installed poorly and looked terrible after time had its way. My wife and I ended up removing all of it by hand. It was awful.
I used to get it delivered but then I've got a hill of mulch taking up driveway space and the truck is the...
Ah so this is common then? I figured watching some homeowner fumble around with a tarp in the bed of their truck was gonna cause somebody to fume.
Though now that I think of it, there's plenty of space to pull over and do this at some of the larger yards. The one I usually go to (next to the...
I've hauled mulch before in my lightning from the local mulch yard, but it gets in just about every crevice. Not a huge deal (it's a truck after all), but I'm looking to optimize.
I purchased a big, ol' tarp to help contain the mess based on recommendations, but I'm having trouble figuring the...
If it was like mine then it's this triangular plastic trim attached to the passenger door. All I had to do to fix was reseat it. Looking head on at the piece with the door open dig your finger nails under the trim and pull straight toward you. Should pop right off. You can use a plastic pry tool...
Any chance the noise sounds like this? You'll probably have to turn up your speakers to hear it: https://www.f150lightningforum.com/forum/threads/dash-rattle.21184/post-417288
I got this update last night but I have a 311A XLT from '23 and don't have blue cruise (or even adaptive cruise control). I think my truck gets the "Pre-collision assist" improvements. Anything else that this update enables for trucks like mine?
Forgot to mention but for anybody looking into just leaving the truck on you've got to turn off the auto shut off timer as well. Otherwise you'll lose PPO after 30 mins.
I did see the duty cycle. I'm still not really getting why it's best to spend over $30 on a solution when one already exists. But I guess if you need every watt (though I remain unconvinced truck off + PPO is appreciably different than just truck on + HVAC off) and use PPO with truck off...
I don't know about you guys but I've been sure to enter in the charger's destination with the built in nav in both my wife's EV6 and my truck to precondition the battery before arrival and it's never seemed to make a lick of difference. On my truck in particular, I get 150KW peak sometimes, but...
I agree that PPO while the truck is off is kinda pointless with the power draw floor requirement, but I'm continually perplexed by the advice to just have a semiconstant load.
Just leave the truck on and disable the auto shut off timer? There's no way the truck in the on state with HVAC off is...
Dang that sucks. Yeah wish the frunk was manual for this reason honestly. Wouldn't have really helped your situation I don't think but the fewer parts the better.
