does leaving the fob in the truck make it so it won’t update? I may be weird but I just leave my fob in my truck all the time. In 25 years it’s never been stolen. My update has been stuck for months :(
Soooo…. To close off this thread. If you look at my other postings you will see how I had a bunch of issues related to the battery recall. After they replaced all my batteries I am getting 20% better range. Makes sense since one of my modules were busted. I now get ~1.9 kwh when going 80 mph...
I picked it up from the Recall repair, drove it 3 hours home, then parked it for a week while on a work trip, then went to turn it on and triggered about 20 faults. Ironically, low coolant didnt seem to be one of them.
Ha! Nope. I did do one of those automated car washes after I picked it up after the CAS HVB recall. i think they thought it was due to a coolant line leak?
Jesus is my savior? :)
Full details below. Replaced every battery in it. High voltage and 12v. Crossing fingers!
if anyone can interpret the codes or modules that would be cool.
Update. Sounds like there is an issue with the coolant lines for the batteries. There has been a leak which then in turn corroded the connections. The current plan would be to replace all of the battery modules. I asked if it was all 8 or 9’of then and the dealer thought so. Shipping from...
got call today, they have the whole battery tray out. Said it looks like some of the HV battery modules are corroded. That the original replacement may not have been correct. They also said some BEVM or something like that has to be replaced.
It seems odd that a 12v battery would only last for 6,000 miles and 6 months? My Tesla 12v battery and my gas cars never went bad that quick. The HV is supposed to be charging the 12v via the DC to DC converter and keep it topped up. I always traveled for weeks at a time with my Tesla. It...
I had to physically push the truck out of garage, down the hill, then push it again to turn it around so the tow truck could pick it up.
Been at dealer since yesterday.
They said they couldn't look at it until today
The @Ford Motor Company BEV customer service team covering my CAS case has...
It doesn’t seem to be the 12v …. I trickle charged it and it is reading full voltage. Everything is more or less operating with the 12v. I disconnected black for an hour and reconnected. However it still faults at start up with the red battery, wrench, etc. also the frunk and lift gate are...
In another thread I detailed how I was notified about the high voltage battery recall/CAS, had truck fail while driving. They took it and replaced the battery modules.
My question: any idea why the 12v battery would not be charged by the HV battery?
Details on my current ford blow up.
I...

big thank you to @RickLightning who educated me on the tow truck criteria. The tow people called me to see if I was picked up and I...
The roadside assistance people called to see if I was picked up ok. I referenced what @RickLightning said above and they put me on hold for a minute and then came back and said they would immediately refund my $180. Thanks Rick! Now on way to dealer.
Note, it’s a bit tricky to put the truck...
