Just did this today with one nickel under each side of spring. Vice grips did the trick. Genius idea, thanks to whoever suggested it. I'll see how it goes but might try 2 nickels eventually.
My final update for this issue folks. So Ford had my truck in shop for 19 days. They replaced the bad battery module and also completed 4 other safety recalls from letters I received in mail (rear light bar wiring, steering wheel wiring and heated grip, and a few others software updates). I...
Had two F150 ICE vehicles in past, then purchased a Tesla and drove it for 3 years to get used to "range anxiety," then purchased my Lighting Lariat ER new and have had it since April '23. Personally I love electric, love the handling, acceleration, and even comfort of my Lighting. My family...
Hi folks, thought I would give you an update. I lucked out for two months without any more warning lights. However ten days ago I saw a High Voltage Battery Warning (Electrical Fault) and Powertrain Malfunction lights and the truck lost 90% of its power. I was just coming off the highway and was...
Same here. Mine was bk to normal after a few hours of recharging. Tried to drop off at local Ford dealer but would have had to leave there for 2-4 weeks (without loaner or rental). This is my primary vehicle so taking a chance and still driving it. It's been a month and haven't seen error again...
Well friends, I had an appointment on Friday with a local dealer (I live in Phoenix, AZ area). The service rep was super nice btw. She told me that I would have to leave the truck for service for a minimum of 2-4 weeks. They didn't have any loaner cars- that was a 2 week backlog. But...
Wow. This just happened yesterday to my 2023 Lighting. I only have 4K miles and purchased in April. I'm a bit concerned about this issue. I have a appt. next Friday here in Arizona and they said to leave it for a few days. I'll update you guys if I hear any good or bad news.
Ford Pass PaaK doesn't always work for me even when I have full bars on phone. I've kind of given up on it and see no real use for the pass app. I just use the key fob. I also have a Tesla and their phone app and software are seamless and never fail. So I admit Im spoiled by it. Yeah I know, 1st...
I also use the Grizzl-e. Worked pefect for my Tesla and no problems so far with Lightning. I intentionally bought this charger because of its heavy duty cord, but that might be a drawback for some.
Worked for me too. Charged my wife's Telsa Model 3 at a local mall. Only used trickle charger that came with Tesla but it was enough to get us home. Go Lightning!
Yeah that is frustrating. Feel for ya. Brand new vehicles shouldn't have this issue. Ford missed the mark on this one. They should look at the Tesla charging door- its self closing, sensored, locks, and never just opens on its own.
