Great install! I like how you covered up all the wires to the gateway and sort of recessed the cans. Do you have any pics of the charger wies connected to the PW? Did they use the DC wires from the charger? Is there a communication wire from charger to gateway?

I'm in final approval with my set up I'm going back and forth with Telsa and telsa certified contractor. The electrical contractor(local) guy is awesome but Tesla ( California) needs to get out of the office and see the real word construction.

Site survey from Tesla is in the works for PW3 ,I had to install a 100amp fireman disconnect switch to to disconnect Tesla subpanel inside gateway. Still no word from (nubkub)

OK Thanks for your help I have talked to Tesla ,they have new wall charger that will transfer power from truck to home and powerwall. I will keep you updated with my progress on this install thru the upcoming months. Paperwork is almost complete and I plan to start this weekend.

Now we are getting somewhere! So (owner)nubkub Had to put in a tesla wall charger than and somehow figured out how to communicate with the truck. Maybe the new adapter I/we will receive will do this communication as well.

Electric is electric! How does electric (DC) know if the manufacturer is sunrun HIS brand or Tesla brand.

I understand how to wire my ford charger in my home panel (AC side of charger 240v 80amps) The DC side of charger (2 #8awg) from charger get wired where? I think they get wired into the inverter. This should produce the power from the truck to the home inverter in DC than the inverter should...
