Yeah LOL. If I wanted to lose my truck and get a loaner for a month. The dealers here are slow AF.
I'll probably see if I can fix it, then wait until I absolutely have to take it in.
Yeah I just checked. The best plan I found was Clearview which was either $.1279/kwh with a 24 month lock or $0.1419/kwh for 12 months with a 250kwh/month free nightly charging (11p-6a). Only a marginal benefit. I already have the Chargepoint. Delivery costs are what kill it.
On the flip side...
Depending on where you are in MA, electricity rates should be coming down soon. Eversource is also going to be trialing off-peak rates for EV charging soon. There's apparently already a plan I keep getting ads for, but it only saves you .01/kwh.
Also worth checking out competitive supplier rates.
I think a lot of these first gen non-Tesla products have been specifically over-engineered.
I fully expect my aluminum body to rust before the batteries degrade.
I think what threw me off is that the link sent me to the 6.5' manual cover, which was $799... (and I didn't look carefully at the description).
It seems as if they no longer offer the 5.5' electric? At least on amazon.
Blu Android phones can be had very cheaply on Ebay ($25-30 delivered). I have one - the Fordpass app works fine on it.
iOS 18 beta 4 + FP 5.3.0 still giving me the page load issue as well.
Thanks so much for posting. I have this issue, glad to know I won't be wasting my time. I will copy this so that the service can hustle getting it done.
