I think that the main reason "pickups are the worst in the winter" is the lack of weight in the back. THIS IS NOT THE CASE for a Lightning! The battery weight is spread across the length of the truck, so a LIGHTNING handles much better in the winter, and in snow. I've owned my 2023 Lariat ER...
Hi There Tom! I wish you all the best! I am like you a little bit, I yearn for the open road . . . . . I've only owned my EV for just over a year, but I drove 1,000's of road-trip miles on my previous ICE trucks . . . . soon I'm going to start road-tripping with my Lightning (I'm thinking...
Thank you for giving me another opportunity to GUSH about my Lightning. Here are my thoughts about snow in the winter:
I bought my Lightning September 2023, so I'm just entering my SECOND winter. My Lightning is the best WINTER truck I've ever owned - and I havn't put Winter tires on it...
Yes, I purchased the A2Z adapter - I still don't have the free one from FORD, I signed up the next day after it was announced - FORD originally said I would have it in August . . . . I don't have it yet.
Its just a TV Tray Table from Amazon!!! I am posting a pic instead of the link because I use Canadian Amazon - you'll use American Amazon - and they are different. Just search for one of these:
Havn't had a single problem! Love this truck. The only time I go to the dealer is when they want to do a software update (I guess not ALL of them can be done "Over the Air OTA").
Yup, thats it. I live in Thunder Bay, ON where its cold. I do NOT have a garage (my Lightning sleeps and...
We need to remember our Lightnings are computers. "Its not a problem until its been rebooted".
I had a similar thing today: I was pulling a trailer around yesterday - and then after I PARKED the trailer, my Lightning kept telling me every time I started it: "Electric range revised due to...
I have a 2023 Lariat ER also - and I experience the same thing. It is pretty amazing how much LESS fuel the Lightning uses dropping from 80 to 70 mph, or even 68. Thats what I do now. I relax and don't speed as much on trips! LOL
Yes. There are two really good fast chargers in Pine City - one at the Circle K and an EA also. I think I could make it all the way to Minneapolis with one charge stop - in the summer time - if I used the Tesla Superchargers in Two Harbours, MN - but the SuperCharger in Tofte is by a nice...
Really?!? This is the very first time I'm hearing this that SOME Tesla Superchargers show up on the factory FORD NAV!! Has anyone ELSE witnessed this yet?
This gives me hope - maybe they will "trickle in" to ALL of our NAVs over time?
The problem with the sync nav is that the Tesla Superchargers don't show up. I live in Canada and drive into Minnesota a lot - often in the winter and its COLD COLD here - so I have NO WAY to precondition my battery when I am planning to stop at to my favorite Tesla Supercharger in Tofte, MN...
I don't have any of those problems with charging, and my wife drives a Mazda MX 30 that I also charge with the Ford Charge Station Pro. I've owned by Lighting for a year and havn't had a single problem with it, or with the Charge station.
Does anyone know WHY the Lightning doesn't come with Remote Parking? This truck is a technological marvel, it seems strange this one thing isn't included. I wonder if it could be give to us with an OTA update?
