Well, I have taken the grill apart, checked connections. I actually added electrical grease to the connections too, reset the 12v system (disconnected the negative terminal for 10 min) and no difference. Frunk hood still stops only about 12 inches from close position. Thanks for the ideas...
No beeps. It does close fine. Just raises to the position in the photo then stops. When I press the button again it lowers and latches. I'll try the LV reset. 🤞

I had this same warning come up on my ''23 lightning. On others advice I sprayed the hell out of the 4 pin trailer light plug with WD-40 and so far.... not more warning. 🤷♂️
