  1. Shifter to rotary shifter - part number?

That "L" in the middle behaves as the old neutral button did.
  2. Stick to Rotary Shift Knob Conversion w/ 3D Printed Rotary Shifter Holder

Does that one physically move when it auto parks or does it just ā€moveā€ the lights?
  3. Stick to Rotary Shift Knob Conversion w/ 3D Printed Rotary Shifter Holder

I experienced none of these issues. I used the $30 shifter posted previously in this thread on eBay. Everything works as expected. No ForScan, no nothing. Just plug-n-play.
  4. Speed governor

Not so far. Closest I’ve seen is lying to the truck about tire size using Forscan. If you tell it the wheels are smaller than they really are, you’ll be going faster than the truck thinks. Of course the speedo and odometer will be off too. And I assume there’s a limit to how low you can go. I...

  6. Stick to Rotary Shift Knob Conversion w/ 3D Printed Rotary Shifter Holder

    Dammit…I was too slow. :)
  7. Turns out there was no First major problem in 67000 miles, Post #23

I'm also amazed at the quantity of fluid, which is why I pity the poor guy you were following. Bad news for them, great news for you. Happy it all worked out. Happy FRIDAY!! :)
  8. TSB 25-2048 / 25-2105: Sync 4/4A General System Performance, Stability, and Intermittent System Reboot, etc. Post #167 updated

Find a better dealer. Mine did it, no questions asked. Over a week now and zero disconnects. šŸ¤žšŸ¼
  9. Turns out there was no First major problem in 67000 miles, Post #23

They still have your truck? Curious how this all turns out...I need..."the end of the story".
  10. New Waze SYNC 4 Integration with Instrument Cluster: Any Luck?

If only Waze had a satellite view in CarPlay, then it would be my easy choice. Can’t stand any other view now. So Waze and Apple Maps lose.
  11. Turns out there was no First major problem in 67000 miles, Post #23

My opinion as well. No way it gets on your front bumper if it’s coming from your truck…unless you were driving 50 MPH in reverse. :) I think you’re good, but pity the poor ICE driver you were behind.
  12. TSB 25-2048 / 25-2105: Sync 4/4A General System Performance, Stability, and Intermittent System Reboot, etc. Post #167 updated

Walk away lock definitely works after the update. Plus (surprisingly to me) windshield washer fluid level now shows under the "Service" tab of the FordPass app. CarPlay worked correctly on the way home, but too early to offer an opinion on that one, as it worked MOST of the time before.
  13. TSB 25-2048 / 25-2105: Sync 4/4A General System Performance, Stability, and Intermittent System Reboot, etc. Post #167 updated

They changed their tune when I arrived to pick it up. They did apply the original TSB after all. False alarm. Apparently the person I interface with misunderstood the technician. Hearsay at its best. šŸ˜… They forgot to perform the NYS inspection too. So I’m still waiting. 😬
  14. TSB 25-2048 / 25-2105: Sync 4/4A General System Performance, Stability, and Intermittent System Reboot, etc. Post #167 updated

My dealer is reporting that this TSB has been superseded by a newer one? Can anyone verify that? They’re supposedly applying that ā€œnewer versionā€ as we speak. šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™‚ļø
  15. Your Username - why & what does it mean?

Zhe Wiz: My last name is "Zhe" (It's German, was Z-e-h and changed to Z-h-e by one of my ancestors for unknown reasons) and I was looking for a good license plate for my 11 second Mitsubishi Eclipse back in 1992. I sent an email to my colleagues. A bunch of cool options, but the one I picked...
  16. TSB 25-2048 / 25-2105: Sync 4/4A General System Performance, Stability, and Intermittent System Reboot, etc. Post #167 updated

Service scheduled for 3/4. Hope this solves my intermittent ā€œno soundā€ issue with CarPlay. WAL would be a nice bonus. šŸ¤žšŸ¼
  17. It’s a snow machine

You’re welcome! Sounds like you have experience with both. So you already know the trade-offs. I briefly considered studs for the Lightning, but like you, I noticed how good the truck is on factory tires. That changed my mind…decided studs won’t be necessary, and if I ever ā€œhave toā€ hunt (yes...
  18. It’s a snow machine

Fair points, which is why my wife is willing to make the sacrifice. Keep in mind that today’s studless snows are nothing to sneeze at. They’re just as good in snow, not quite as good on ice/hard packed snow, MUCH better on dry/wet roads where studs reduce traction. You have to weigh how often...
  19. It’s a snow machine

I love studded tires for best traction, my wife never used to drive in the snow until I put studded Hakkas on her Jeep, now she’ll drive anywhere any time. It’s a tank on snow or ice. BUT they are loud! I wouldn’t want to ruin my quiet Lightning by putting it on studded snows. I tried it for...
