  1. Tail Gate Automatically Closing. Ford Tech

I know how to turn it to manual. Iā€™d rather it worked like it is supposed to.
  2. Tail Gate Automatically Closing. Ford Tech

Itā€™s happened several times with my ā€˜23 Lariat 73k miles. But, I admit Iā€™ll have to see it again - with no possibility of fob activation.
  3. New OTA Update Improves F-150 Lightning DC Fast Charging Times

72,000 mostly DCFC miles and maybe 1/3 pulling a trailer. I saw 194 kW recently but since mid Jan have noticed the improvement. All my trips are 900-1,200 miles one way usually CA tip to tip. A dozen trips to Salmon, ID. One RT L.A. to Boston to bring back a boat.
  4. FOOLING MY TOWING GUESS-O-METER

1.0 m/kWh @45-55mph & strong headwinds and rain. Iā€™ll take it. Tows like a dream so itā€™s easier to deal with 85 miles between 30 minute charges.
  5. FOOLING MY TOWING GUESS-O-METER

    Iā€™m towing a 3,100 lb e(empty) dump trailer with a ā€˜68 Jeep in it 950 miles right now N to S CA Andā€¦
  6. Living in The Lightning On The Road -- Almost a Year and Counting

Heading Vegas area for a week tomorrow. Always hypermiling - not 70-75. Have built a round styrofoam full nose cone and that didnā€™t help. Moving to tail wind management next. Weight might be an issue in two weeks when I put a jeep in a 14k (capacity) dump trailer and tow it from OR to Borrego...
  7. Living in The Lightning On The Road -- Almost a Year and Counting

I have 70k miles living out of my ā€˜23 ER Lariat here in Borrego Springs for now. Unfortunately I pull a 6.5x6.5x12ā€™ v/nose cargo trailer to live in. 1.0 m/kWh from about 2.1 without. Would love to trade notes sometime.
  8. Good Ford Dealer for EV Service in Kansas City area

If you find a Ford dealer with even decent EV service, let me know. None in CA that I have experienced. None in Southern Oregon either. Bought mine in Los Angeles. By far, the worst treatment I have received just trying to keep the warranty happy. I canā€™t get 10k mile services. Iā€™ve been unable...
  9. āœ… Ford Resumes Shipping NACS Charging Adapters (February 2025 batch)

Samesies. March 2 ordered. No word from Frod. 65,000 miles since April ā€˜23. Regular, long, and horrible trips relying on EA. Next one starts the 15th. I pull a trailer and get 1 m/kWh. So I try to get 80 or so miles between 30 minute charges. It takes 28 hours to travel what always took 14...
  10. āœ… Ford Resumes Shipping NACS Charging Adapters (February 2025 batch)

Ordered March 02. Have been told mine would ship ā€˜this monthā€™ three (?) months in a Fg row. Iā€™ve done twenty! 2,500! Mile trips since April ā€˜23. One trip from L.A. to Boston, MA, to bring a boat back to L.A. Being told Iā€™ll get my adapter is just acid on a wound.
  11. šŸ“² Introducing the F-150 Lightning Forum App for iOS (iPhone / iPad)

Bought my Lariat April ā€˜23. Signed up for adapter ĀæMarch? ā€˜24. Nothing.
  12. Bed Cap Wiring - Wiring Brake Light/Signals

I installed my SmartCap 3rd rail light. Fuse 15 under dash R of passenger foot well. Works perfectly.
  13. Off Road Build - 2022 F150 Lightning XLT in White (w/ RSI Smart Cap)

Mine leaks live a sieve. The dust prevention vent lets water run in - kinda fast.
  14. Selling because I drive too much.

I feel ya brother. Well articulated. Timing is a tough thing though. I canā€™t go back to diesel, and way too $$$ to just keep updating with new EV truck(s). Iā€™m at 60k in 18mos. Huge replacement costs for major systemic failures might cost as much as one vehicle replacement (with high miles), but...
