Other than don’t cut any of the orange wires…
I’m about to install the wiring for the rear brake light/signals on my new TUFCAP that is on my new truck - yikes!
I used to just tap into the trailer wiring harness. Now I understand it confuses the truck into thinking there’s a trailer attached.
My new plan is to tap into the wiring harnesses of the tail lights.
I will also run a fused 12 gauge wire from the 12 V accessory battery straight to the accessory box in the cap. That distribution box switches inside and outside LED lights there’s are also USB and 12v accessory taps.
Any comments on potential pitfalls?
How about a route to run the wire from the accessory battery back to the truck bed?
