Sold the Lightning and kept the R1T. It was a hard choice and both have pros and cons, but my mind made up when I took it on the highway. It is so planted and nimble, I enjoyed it more than the floaty feeling of the F-150. Wish the R1T had full CarPlay, but it streams just fine via Bluetooth...
Rivian is posting better highway range than the Lightning when your not on the 20” All Terrians. I’m not an off roader so chose the 22” Sports instead. I think it will top 300. R1T is a more efficient vehicle as long as you don’t go with the off road tires.
We’ve got one 4 year old and planning for one more. 2 small dogs as well. Have another SUV for longer hauls though.
Do appreciate the size of the F-150 could be great going forward. And even if I sell at a profit, I’ll probably have to spend all that to replace it at a later date if I...
I’ve got the Atlas Blue Lightning. Was 5 Star’s first customer delivery and live on Vicksburg just next to UTD.
Ended up at a red light right next to a guy with a new white R1T on Coit and Belt Line this afternoon. We talked at the red light and said he loves it (not that I expect anything...
FWIW, I also come from a Ford family. What I really want is whatever is Ford’s next gen dedicated EV pickup that’s currently under wraps. Got a feeling it’s going to check all the right boxes for me.
Didn’t know the Rivian had a smaller back seat than a Mach E. That’s what I had before the Lightning. My 4 year old can also climb in and out of the Lightning with ease. And I am a Texan, so bigger is better. Only downside is that it gets tight in the garage with both cars.
I’m very torn...
Lol. Both are financed and I have way too much of my net worth tied up in vehicles right now. But I knew both would fetch a profit of I wanted. I’ve been on the electric car bandwagon for a while.
Bed size and drunk hardly matter. Only reason I’ve got a truck is because I live in Texas and...
Pick up my LE R1T tomorrow and had my Lightning for about 3 months. Leaning towards selling the Lightning. Anyone own both who can comment? 37 year old dad of 1 who really likes the Lightning but like new technology as well. Comfortable ride quality on crappy Dallas roads is one of my top...
Got a Rivian coming in soon so got a trade in quote as I decide what to do. Dealer offered me $95k for my Lariat with 3k miles. Honestly seems pretty fair to me. Their franchise has a couple used ones at other location listed closer to $115k, but sure they would take the first serious offer...
So I pulled the outlet today and wiring was totally fine. Also no excessive heat at all. The amber light comes on on the mobile connector as soon as it’s plugged in. Clipper creeek again is totally fine. Any chance it’s just some defect in the Ford Mobile charger? Can always just buy a...
So first step is check the outlet? My clipper creek works fine on the same 240v outlet. Wouldn’t that indicate it’s the FMC? Perhaps it just sucks and I should get another 3rd party charger?
Not an electrical expert, but my Ford Mobile charger won't charge my F150L using the 240V outlet. It was charging fine for the first month, but having issues with it now. It will show Blue like it's ready to charge, then I plug it in, the charging starts to initiate, and the light on the...
Sounds like he shouldn’t have had any reason to be frustrated at all if they were really “going to sell him the vehicle anyways” (and the dealer didn’t specify “at MSRP” in his rebuttal).
I have had my Lariat for a little over a month and have decided I’m going to stick with my 14-40 charging setup. I will sell the Ford Charge Station Pro for $1k if anyone wants. New and unopened in box.
Located in Dallas but can ship. Cheers.
