Picked up my truck today, Larry Miller Ford in Colorado held true to their word. Spoke to with Ryan, the GM, the day after reveal. We stayed in touch, and he gave me updates like he was excited for his own truck to arrive.
No ADM, no BS, no haggling, no games - in and out in about 60 minutes...
If you're looking to replace your shady dealer, or just start your order in the first place, call up Ryan Hansen at Larry Miller - they'll treat you right. I spoke to them the day after reveal, and Ryan kept to his word of no ADM - promising the same to anyone else who comes to them.
I was...
Totally worth putting in the labor yourself, no doubt. FYI a tip, I'd ask the inside to be cleaned. I didn't specify, because I didn't think I had to, but the inside was pretty dusty. Mine came with 80 miles on the odometer right off the truck, and there was plenty of small rocks near the driver...
Alright fellas, knock me off the waiting list - truck's home
Dirty, because I asked it to be handed over without going through machine wash! Ended up only getting home now, going to give it a deep cleaning in the morning.
For now, a bonus pic with big blue with little blue
Happy to answer...
That's not what inactive means! Note that your truck might go the last leg via convoy, but start via something else like rail.
Inactive means they've got it on the schedule, but it's not ready for United Road - the the truck side of things - to pick your vehicle up from wherever it got dropped...
My wife is here in an hour to pick me up, and I believe time & space relativity has warped. I've looked at the clock for 15 minutes and it just went from 1:50 to 1:51!
Tidbids for others:
- Dealer said it's the first Lariat they've seen, this is Denver, CO
- I asked not to clean it, these...
My deets are on the tracker, in case you want the other dates
EDIT: Tracker link embeds the darn thing!
It's type docs.google.com/ and then:
spreadsheets/d/144PKVpz4tnBw_mBTiQZKgnYYBxM_imzVDZKZIs_jouQ/edit#gid=0
or find a mod's signature
But I got first built email 6/24, then another on 7/2
Truck just got to dealership!!!!
Going in at 4pm today, woooooot.
Bad news though.....my rep said there's 2 paint chips from transportation!
He said he'll show me when I come in, and see what I wanna do.
Oh well, not a big deal but grrrrr! Darn you transport companies, be careful
Register on the page you see your load # (you have to squish the frames real thin to have it appear), registration will fail a bunch of times but keep hammering it - it'll work eventually. Login, and search by that # and you'll see more details....not much, but some!
Welp I posted an hour ago that it was waiting for pickup nearby to my dealership and now all vehicles on that batch show "Cancelled" - ha!
Okay I give up trying to make sense, just gotta be patient.
Whoa, just got an update - truck now shows "Waiting for Pickup" along with other regular non-Lightning vehicles, at the local Rolla Ramp pickup area, showing destination to dealership (looking at United Road Logistics site)
Last few times, no batch of cars sat "Waiting for Pickup" for more than...
Not to dismiss your frustrations, but bold of you to assume GM or - even more so - RAM will introduce their pickups with no hiccups and show Ford how it's done. I expect equal shenanigans, and you should too.
People been underestimating the complexities of a BEV ramp-up for years now, and the...
Ahh okay that makes sense! Well then I go back to my current hypothesis - Truck is on a rail or another vehicle, on the way to a United Road Logistics "Rolla Ramp" pickup in a town 45 mins from here, from there to the dealership. Using some Google-fu, my "Inactive" status with United Road means...
Well, this is odd, I got a ship notice a while ago, it was listing as inactive but registered with united road ligistics...figured it was traveling by train already with 7/17-23 delivery ETA.
Then...just now...ford emails me and says the truck just got built and rolled off assembly line. Pic...
Figured I'd update y'all, I got a 2nd ford email saying it shipped (earlier one said built, and provided delivery ETA - this one says "YOUR VEHICLE IS ON ITS WAY" at the top)
I finally tricked the darn United Road Logistics site to think I'm an employee, and granted me the back-end access. From...
No disrespect to Ford, but that page is terribly designed.
Hitting that page opens an active connection between your browser, with a timeout of a few minutes (you can see this for yourself, load the page, wait 5 mins, then try to search for ANYTHING). It's programmed to continuously expect a...
I'm not sure what my Production and Built dates would be!
Even though it shows Shipped, and the delivery date on the tracker, it actually still says it's in progress:
The dates you have for me are the ones I'm ware of (Reserve, Order, Build + Blend, and now I got delivery ship notice today).
