Departure times like others suggested are the most important thing . Know you will take a 25 percent hit on range if it's below 0 no matter what. Don't be afraid to charge to 100% if you are driving a lot.
I live in New York . My truck has never been inside a garage . Two years later , my charge station pro works perfectly . Snow, sleet, ice= no problems. Remember to set departure times on your truck so your battery is warm in the winter to maximize range. Everyone forgets this step and it's...
I'm in the situation where I just never close FDRS after I use it, so each day I open up my laptop around 8:00am and when I'm ready to do the network scan, I get the login pop ups. I never thought to just close out the software since, I use that laptop for just FDRS . Seems silly to have to do...
Have you tried my method ? I think it's the same problem with two work arounds I've never tried your way . This happens to me daily and I never realized what the root cause was.
What you do is enter the your password and login in , then when it pops back up, click forgot password and then you will get a blank web page with browser info . Click return to original page on the blank page and it goes away.
Just let it sit on that charger for a few hours. You won't need to be towed . It will just fail the update . Those IPMAs are killers to the battery . In the future , it's possible to get through an update with a battery tender like that if you make sure all lights are off and any accessories...
I live out in The Hamptons and I'll do it for you if you feel like driving out this way . PM me your vin and I can give you a guesstimate on how long it will take.
Did all of the updates that @Mike G mentioned today in the thread. All went off without a hitch except I pressed ok too quickly on a screen before the truck went fully off and I had to redo that one . Seems like you really have to wait until the instrument cluster is completely black before...
I'm still within the battery warranty but at 75,000 miles my truck is showing 99%battery health using FDRS (Ford's actual diagnostic software). I tow and drive my truck hard.. YMMV!
@Jim Lewis . I've been a premium Chat-GPT user and was just using the new strawberry model to research trends in current areas around me. I'm all about AI, but after reading a number of your posts, I think you understand that the LLMs are good with summaries but most of the time hallucinate...
You've never seen me on the road :)... I pretend any stop light with two lanes is a drag strip. I'm here for that linear power. It just feels so good.
Edit: 79 max speed on blue cruise is the only thing that keeps me from getting more speeding tickets.
I have a 2022 Lightning ER and yesterday I also did a lot of driving. I had to travel to the same location and back twice and it's 61 miles away . Things I did to maximize range .
-since it was going to be a lot of driwing today I one time charged my truck to 100
- I set a departure time so...
My generals lasted 60k and replaced with generals because considering I drive my truck like I stole it , I've never lasted that long on one set . Snow performance and heavy rain though is pretty terrible, exasperated by a heavier truck . I also didn't want to risk more road noise or an...
Just a heads up -- If you have a TRM update you might want to hold off on it. I woke up this morning to "trailer brake module fault and blind spot fault. Fired up FDRS and it showed my truck couldn't communicate with the TRM module. Ran through the communication tests on FDRS and none worked...
Very true! Some people play golf or collect things they enjoy. My expensive hobby is having every single item in my house running beta or the latest gm software/firmware . I see you LG washer and dyer, silently judging me because I keep forcing this upon you .
I agree . We shouldn't live in a world where I had to buy a laptop ( if you go back pages , I used move my desktop to my truck since I'm an Apple guy and that was my only PC ), pay $800 a year and then pay $500ish for a cable to have karaoke and icons. Ford is living in the dark ages due to the...
