Overall I’m happy with the Nav/mapping but huge labeling problem in Canada. Hwy 16 is labeled as the Trans Canada which it is not. Hwy 1 is the Trans Canada and hwy 16 is actually the Yellow Head. The mapping is also in error showing hwy 5 as the Yellow Head. More of an annoyance and can tell...
I have the 2.4 watt generator and have used a circular saw and grinder many times without any problem. I have a Honda 2200 watt generator and the truck generator seems just as reliable.
I’m a huge fan of the larger tow mirrors. Not a problem going through a single car garage door if you have power folding. Only negative that I can think of is your mpg might be impacted slightly but i don’t think it would amount to much or anything noticeable.
The News Tab on this forum. Even a pic of your rig. Sorry I didn’t mean to imply some big news network but I would rather read your thread than hear what they have to say.
Most of the higher level PB trims have between 1300 and 1500 lbs of payload and with a few passengers, cargo, extras they might be lucky to pull a 8000lb trailer. The Max Tow won’t hurt other than a few pounds of payload but at that weight, I don’t see the benefit. Just my thoughts.
the new...
I get it. There is no disadvantage other than cost. For me the cost was too much as I wanted a Lariat, chrome and 18" wheels. When I added the Max Tow the cost was an additional $1950 because it added 20"wheels. For my configuration I would never utilize it. In most cases, I believe the...
I've stated this a few times but I don't believe there will be a situation where you can utilize the Max Tow with a power boost. If you enter the two VIN's in the new towing tool, you will run out of payload LONG before you can ever utilize the Max Tow.
EDIT: I must admit these XLT's are not...
Don't even think of it. Just get a 250 or 350. Once you get the camper, you will need water, propane, camping gear (stove, chairs, dishes, linen....the list goes on). I've had a camper on a 250 pushing the limits and it was not fun. Switched to a 350 with air bags and then it got to be more...
Checkout this thread. It looks like an amazing product and if you make a mistake or don't like then no big deal.

I had the same thoughts and passed on the Max tow as well. For me, I will run out of payload long before Max towing capacity. I also believe that if I needed to pull 12000+ lbs then I should probably be looking at a 250 or 350 regardless of the specs.
Really great job. First time I've heard of Plastidip . You have got me thinking of some uses. If I wanted to blackout my rear bumper or the chrome caps on my tow mirrors do you think Platidip would be a good option?
