This applies to charging with it too. Try to make sure the adapter is not in direct sun when charging. I had a session crap out on me Sunday after 10 minutes because the adapter overheated in the 100F direct sun. I've heard you can either get some kind of shade thing or cover the adapter with...
I'm still here. Still have mine, no mechanical issues other than I did have a wiper motor go dead (covered under the recall).
My lightning isn't quite unscathed though. Back in September, a semi backed into it while I was parked. They ended up replacing the whole tailgate and one of the tail...
Hey all, checking in, I forgot to check in on Friday, which was my 1 year anniversary of my blend date. Still have the truck and still loving the truck.
It was directly said in the reveal that a 40k truck wasn't going to be available at launch anyway, so early reservations were never going to get it.
But not surprised. I am also a early reservation holder, but not sure if I'll convert. I'm pretty happy with the Lightning and if I swap, sure...
The exact line in the specification is "The North American Charging Standard is compatible with Vehicle to X (i.e. Vehicle to load, Vehicle to home, vehicle to grid) power transfer. Future versions of this technical specification will specify the functional requirements and specifications...
I ran into this trying to get winter tires, Costco wouldn't put Blizzaks on, because they have a load index of 115 and the Grabbers are 116 (so the door sticker says 116). Was really frustrating.
So I can appreciate that they don't install something that doesn't meet spec, except they didn't catch it when they ordered the tires two weeks before the install date.
Also, after looking into it more, the AT tires on the Lariat are 115 load index, they just derate the GVWR a bit to make up...
Does anyone have a Lariat or XLT 312A that has the factory AT tires? I suspect they are rated at 115, which is why the trucks with the ATs have derated payloads.
I ordered tires (Blizzaks DM-V2) through Costco and have run into a problem.
The load sticker on the truck specifies that you need 275/60R20 116T tires, but the Blizzaks only come in 115R. Costco ordered the tires because their system said it would work, but they wouldn't install them when...
Why would you even consider keeping the 2023? It's objectively the worse vehicle, given it is missing features and costs more...
You could flip the 2023, but it's up to you if it's worth it. If you think you can sell it, go through the process unless the dealer makes you sign a no sell...
There is a design flaw with the advanced keyless entry, the frunk, and the Blue Cruise package (I know that's something of a wild combo there).
It turns out that the sensor used for passive unlock of the frunk with the advanced keyless entry is integrated with the parking radar sensor used for...
Temperature below 50°F will reduce range. Both because you need to consider extra energy to hear the cabin and because the battery is less efficient at those temperatures.
I'm around 3300 miles. Still loving it, but I still need to try taking over the pass on the winter. My GOM is giving the rather pessimistic 140 miles range @ 80% when it's below freezing and it's 82 miles from here to the nearest EA on the other side with 3500 ft of elevation up and down
