I tried to convince the dealer to give their demo and the take mine to replace it. The manager said he’d be happy to do it but ford won’t let him. He thinks it’s silly, can’t sell it, can’t order one, so there’s no point in a demo.

They are not letting anyone drive it and are hesitant to even have people sit in it. Since mine is weeks away he let me take it around the neighborhood. They’re understandably trying to keep the miles low for the future owner, who’ll probably pay 20k over to enjoy it.

it’s red and looks fantastic in that color. So if you’ve ordered red and are waiting you’ll be very pleased with the color.

This fordpass app is odd. I have a 6/9 blend, 6/17 in production, and 6/29 built, but not shipped. The app has had wifi, scales, and hitch since the modules popped but it said activation not available until delivery. Today it allowed it to go into activation pending. Any thoughts as to why today and not before?

Dealer called mine is there they are prepping today pick it up MOnday.

My dealer had a platinum on lot they handed me the keys and said keep it under 100. Test drove it alone no one with me.

Some folks have speculated that the truck might have been in deep sleep mode and you could not make the initial connection until it was recently started, driven, shut down, etc....

I guess that would make sense. I'm all for anything that means I might be closer to getting it. 6/13 build week are getting shipped before some 6/6 week. So happy for them.

interesting about the scales. A number of us with ford pass activated don’t have the scales as a choice. I had one guy that took delivery of lariat check his app and he didn’t see it. Assuming he looked in right spot when he replied.

as for why not available, maybe timed out. I was denied twice in May. Then I got the not until delivery, 2 weeks later activation pending. Then 2 weeks after that one of the porters activated mine.

The deep sleep is interesting. I should hit the 14 day benchmark on Tuesday. We’ll see if the daily wake up prevents that.
