Alexa--- Go away.

So I got my Lightning and sold my Job 1 MME on the same day. Great move. The truck is FANTASTIC. However, Ford is renting space out to Jeff Bezos and Amazon by having it prominently displayed on the top of the Sync System. While I get the fact that you have to log in to use it, does anyone know how to remove the icon?? I am 26 hour in to the truck and it is one of only 2 complaints/ annoyances. The other is the gear selector not moving when it should.

I would have loved it if they would've put Google Assistant instead of Alexa. I hope there is a way to remove the icon because I won't be using it.

@Aminorjourney I noticed in one of your videos that your screen appeared to NOT have the Alexa button/logo at the top? Did you do something to make that happen? I too would love to get rid of it...

Well I know where to remove it in FORSCAN. But for some reason when I went in to make the change in the APIM (I've connected to the Lightning before) at address 7D0-02-01 to change xx*x xxxx xx-- from "1" to "0" to remove the "feature button" disable "AHMI" (Alexa) it said the Lightning wasn't in their database and I need to contact the developers, again this after already successfully connecting a month before.

And then my trial license expired so....

It went away on mine but…I logged in to my Amazon account and I guess activated the use. We use Alexa for grocery lists at home and other reminders. Plus dropping in to other rooms. I find it useful but am very happy that icon is now gone from the top of the screen

Somewhere in the settings, you can tell it to go away permanently.

I think I may have hit the Alexa button and had an option to dismiss it.

Well, that worked. One of the updates opened up an option to dismiss the icon. When I called Ford on this In August, they had no idea how to remove. Thanks FORD for fixing!!
