Any deals on Ford Extended Warranties in Canada?

I've already purchased my truck, but am moderately interested in the 200,000km/8year extended warranty package. I know in the States, there's a dealership who sells them at cost (+ a certain %). Is there anything like that in Canada that anyone's aware of?

When we ordered, our dealership just quoted one price for a 6 year / 120,000 km extended warranty.

Knowing we usually drive 25k per year, we would need 150k on a 6 year warranty. When the time came to take delivery, I told the dealership I was NOT going to take the warranty at the time of purchase as I planned to shop around for a better price and options.

Just saying that suddenly brought out better prices. We were also getting the 6 year maintenance plan (also 120k) and to change the two to 150k was to be an additional $850, but they cut the price and it was just under $200 for the change.

The change to the maintenance package now includes 9 service visits instead of 7.

Since you've already completed the purchase, you can still shop around for the warranty. Also, as I understand it, you could buy from a U.S. dealership if you have a U.S. address (a friend ot relative) you can use. Warranties are from Ford and are honoured at all dealerships in the USA or Canada.

i believe you can add on an extended warranty within the first year of ownership, but it does cost more than buying it at the time of purchase. the guys i bought my truck from wanted $4700 for a 8 year extended warranty. I decided not to buy it right now and may add it if i have any major problems in the first year.
